L1 Compact System

  • Bose Spatial Dispersion loudspeaker technology delivers sound evenly across he stage and throughout the audience—even to the extreme sides
  • Two ToneMatch channels with fixed presets for a handheld microphone and an acoustic guitar
  • Integrated bass speaker in power stand
  • Two setup positions: collapsed for smaller spaces or extended for larger ones
  • Ideal for musical performances, mobile DJs, classrooms, business presentations and other events
Introducing the L1 Compact portable line array system. Carry it in one trip. Set it up in one minute. Fill the room with Bose sound.

The L1 Compact system combines conventional PA and monitors into one sleek unit. Positioned behind or to the side of a performer, DJ or presenter, it delivers wide, even sound coverage throughout the stage area and audience—even off to the extreme sides. It's our smallest, lightest, easiest-to-set-up L1 system, weighing just 29 pounds.

Big sound. Small package.

Now you can have quality Bose sound for almost any gig, event or occasion. The L1 Compact system is small enough to fit in your trunk or back seat, and its innovative modular design makes setup easy and fast. You can arrange it in either a collapsed configuration for smaller spaces or a taller, extended configuration for larger ones. No extra gear to haul. No heavy speakers to hoist onto stands. No speaker cables.

A different loudspeaker

The L1 Compact system's slim loudspeaker distributes sound clearly and evenly throughout the room, thanks to Bose Spatial Dispersion technology. The speaker's unusual vertical shape makes it distinctly different from conventional PA speakers―and has a very positive effect on sound coverage. Even audience and band members off to the extreme sides hear the same clear, tonally balanced sound as those in front.

The L1 Compact loudspeaker array is smaller than those in L1 Model I and II systems, but it produces comparable horizontal sound coverage. L1 Model I and Model II loudspeakers project sound further with less dropoff of volume than the L1 Compact array.

Integrated system

With the L1 Compact system, you don't have to carry a separate amplifier, mixer or bass cabinet: They're already built in. The system's power stand includes an integrated bass speaker and amplifier, plus a built-in mixer providing a total of four inputs and two outputs.

Channel 1 is a microphone input with a customized ToneMatch preset for a handheld dynamic microphone. The preset automatically optimizes a handheld microphone's tone when used with the L1 Compact system. Channel 2 accepts up to three inputs at once, including a guitar, keyboard or other instrument, DJ mixer, MP3 player, laptop or projector. It features a customized ToneMatch preset to optimize the sound of an acoustic guitar.

The L1 Compact system: audio performance, simplified setup and one-trip portability. Only from Bose.

PackLite extended bass package

  • Recommended for bass players, drummers and DJs
  • Compact, powerful low-end boost for L1® Model I and Model II systems
  • Delivers greater bass volume and headroom, without changing your tone
  • PackLite amplifier and two B1 bass modules included
The PackLite extended bass package is designed for any L1 Model I or Model II system owner who wants more low-end volume and headroom. It includes a PackLite power amplifier Model A1, two B1 bass modules, cables and protective covers. The compact, lightweight package connects to an L1 power stand in seconds, producing greater bass output without coloring your tone.

L1 Model I and Model II systems include built-in amplifiers that power up to two B1 bass modules. With the PackLite extended bass package, you can add two more bass modules to your system quickly and easily. Just plug in the PackLite power cord, connect the amp to the power stand and bass modules, and you're ready to roll.

The PackLite amp provides 250 watts of clean power in a small, three-pound metal case. It drives both bass modules in the package, and can be used as a stand-alone amp with other passive speakers like bass cabs, subwoofers and studio monitors.

Keep your tone, automatically
Plug in the PackLite amp, and your L1 Model I or Model II system automatically adjusts to maintain the original tonal balance. The L1 power stand senses how many modules are connected and controls the output to match your settings. So you get the same great bass tone, only louder.

Stack them up
To add even more bass output to your system, you can simply daisy-chain more PackLite extended bass packages. The system automatically continues to preserve your tone as bass output increases. And B1 bass modules feature interlocking feet that make it easy to stack up to four of them in a column securely.

Features:

Powerful, compact and rugged amplifier delivers 250 watts of power from a small, three-pound metal enclosure. Designed to drive up to two additional B1 bass modules running on L1 Model I or Model II systems. Recommended for anyone seeking more low-end output, including bass players, drummers and DJs.

Intelligent L1 system connections match the amplifier gain with B1 bass modules and L1 Model I and Model II power stands. Simply connect the amp to the power stand and modules, and the system automatically increases bass level without altering your tone.

Automatic input gain control senses whether the input signal is balanced or unbalanced and automatically adjusts gain.

Loudspeaker limiter protects connected loudspeakers from distortion damage. Eliminates the need for an outboard limiter and additional cable routing.

Thru connector enables daisy-chaining of PackLite extended bass packages to one L1 Model I or Model II system.

Stand-alone power drives any passive loudspeakers with a minimum load of four ohms and 250-watt handling capacity.

L1 Model I single bass package

  • Recommended for mid-range instruments and voices
  • Features Spatial Dispersion loudspeaker technology, available only from Bose
  • Four inputs—two with ToneMatch presets
  • One B1 bass module included
Unique, all-in-one system delivers clear, powerful sound across the stage and throughout small to medium-sized venues. Hear what your audience hears, and eliminate conventional monitors, mixers and PA systems. Includes one B1 bass module for enhanced low-end performance.

Based on over 10 years of groundbreaking research, the L1 Model I concert sound system features Spatial Dispersion loudspeaker technology, available only from Bose. The loudspeaker's proprietary, vertical design helps fill the room with clear sound like no ordinary concert speaker can.

As Guitar World describes it, the "… sound radiates and fills the room in a way far more natural than a typical loudspeaker … it's a real breakthrough in amplified sound." Key benefits of this L1 system:
  • Projects clean, detailed sound evenly across the stage and throughout an audience of up to several hundred, with little change in tone or volume
  • Produces smooth, consistent tone, whether you're in front of the loudspeaker or off to the side
  • Reduces much unwanted room reverberation
  • Eliminates conventional monitors, mixers and PA
  • Sets up and breaks down quickly; fits easily into a car trunk
Wide, uniform coverage—throughout the room
The innovative L1 Model I Cylindrical Radiator loudspeaker has a line array of 24 small drivers mounted into a vertical enclosure for wide, horizontal sound coverage of nearly 180 degrees. In comparison to conventional stage speakers, volume and tone diminish very slowly over distance.

The loudspeaker's wedge-shaped dispersion pattern sends very little audio up or down, preventing much of the room reverberation that can muddy your sound.

Unlike traditional amplification setups, a Bose L1 system lets you, your fellow musicians and the audience hear the same sound. You don't need any other stage monitors, mixers or PA speakers. Your L1 system replaces them all with one sleek, powerful setup.

Built-in amps, mixer and ToneMatch presets
The Bose L1 Model I power stand includes built-in amplifiers to drive the loudspeaker and up to two B1 bass modules. It also has an integrated four-channel mixer with two XLR and two line-level inputs.

Onboard ToneMatch presets—another Bose exclusive—let you quickly optimize the tone of up to 100 specific instruments and microphones at the touch of a button. For more inputs and a suite of effects and tone-shaping tools, add the optional T1 ToneMatch audio engine.

Big bass—small package

B1 bass modules are considerably lighter and smaller than traditional bass bins required for the same performance. The L1 Model I single bass package is recommended for midrange voices and instruments, including acoustic guitars, keyboards and horns.

The double bass package is designed for DJs and bass/baritone instruments, like electric bass, organ and kick drum. It produces the same tone as our single bass package, but with much higher output levels. You can add up to two more bass modules to your system with our optional Packlite extended bass package.

Single and double bass packages can also be used in conjunction with backline electric guitar amplifiers.

Light, easy, fast
L1 Model I system components are noticeably lightweight and portable, fitting easily into the trunk of a small car. And setup and breakdown take just minutes.

Features:
L1 power stand features a built-in four-channel mixer

Four-channel mixer provides two mic/line input channels (1 and 2) that accept XLR and ¼" TRS connections; they feature ultra-low noise preamps, two-stage clip lights, trim controls and XLR line-out channels. Secondary input channels (3 and 4) accept ¼" unbalanced line-level sources.
Bose ToneMatch presets quickly optimize the tone of instruments and mics

Proprietary ToneMatch® presets on channels 1 and 2 optimize L1 system to match intended natural sound of specific instruments and microphones on channels 1 and 2.

Cylindrical Radiator® loudspeaker uses 24 small drivers mounted into a slim, vertical enclosure to create nearly 180 degrees of horizontal coverage—with little dropoff in volume and tone. Loudspeaker's two-piece, interlocking design makes for quick and easy setup, breakdown and transport.

Integrated power amplifiers in power stand deliver clean, precise amplification for L1 Model I loudspeaker and up to two B1 bass modules.

Channel inserts/effects loops for connecting external effects and processors to channels 1 and 2 via ¼" TRS line input/output jack. Use a stereo plug to connect the send and return signals with one cord.

Bass module out for amplified bass output signal to one or two B1 bass modules. L1 system automatically adjusts equalization appropriately when bass modules are connected.

Bass line out delivers post-DSP bass signal output. Accepts ¼" TRS phone cable. Use to connect powered subwoofer, additional amplification system or Bose® PackLite® amplifier with up to two additional bass modules.

Digital data out sends digital mix of channels 1 and 2 to external recording gear at 48KHz sample rate.

Digital data in for updating product firmware and ToneMatch presets.

R1 remote input for included remote control and 16' cable.

Remote
Tone controls provide -12 dB cut to +12 dB boost of high, mid and low frequencies on channels 1 and 2.

Level controls and signal/overload LEDs show green/red signal status to help you set proper gain levels.

Master level to adjust volume of all four input channels simultaneously.

Bass module
Compact, lightweight enclosure is easy to transport, set up and break down. Small footprint takes up considerably less space than traditional bass cabs required for same performance. Interlocking feet let you securely stack up to four modules together on their sides.

Highly efficient speaker design features two 5.25" (13.3 cm), high-output, high-excursion drivers that produce deep, strong bass from a small enclosure. When connected to power stand, active equalization circuitry automatically adjusts bass signal appropriately.

Two BMS 1.75-inch compression drivers mounted to the patented Paraline lens delivers a focused 15-degree vertical dispersion and wide 110 degree horizontal coverage. Four high quality 18 Sound 6-inch woofers provide a tight and ultra responsive low frequency program.

Rugged injection molded ABS cabinet and Neodymium magnet woofers minimize overall cabinet weight making a full system transport and set-up can easily be handled with a single operator. Designed to deliver maximum performance with minimum complication, the PSA1’s integrated power amplifiers and internal DSP mean no external processing is required. Direct connect to mixer source and set system levels, and the system is ready for the show.

Ideal for mobile PA applications in venues where access to complex trussing or roof hangs isn’t practical, the Yorkville PSA1 cabinet mounts quickly and securely on a typical speaker stand. Innovative dual position stand mount offers two potential cabinet angles for expanded setup options. Up to two PSA1 cabinets can be stacked safely and securely on a single traditional stand.

Highly efficient amplifier design means each PSA1 draws less than 3 amps in typical operation meaning up to four cabinets can operate safely on a standard 15 amp service. This allows efficient set up using AC loop thru connections on the PSA1 while avoiding nuisance tripping of mains breakers. This also minimizes the need for multiple extension cables or access to multiple house circuits often needed for an active PA setup.

L1 Model I double bass package

  • Recommended for DJs and lower-range instruments, including bass and kick drum
  • Features Spatial Dispersion loudspeaker technology, available only from Bose
  • Four inputs—two with ToneMatch presets
  • Two B1 bass modules included
Unique, all-in-one system delivers clear, powerful sound across the stage and throughout small to medium-sized venues. Hear what your audience hears, and eliminate conventional monitors, mixers and PA systems. Includes two B1 bass modules for enhanced low-end performance.

Based on over 10 years of groundbreaking research, the L1 Model I amplification system features Spatial Dispersion loudspeaker technology, available only from Bose.

Unlike traditional amplification setups, a Bose® L1 system lets you, your fellow musicians and the audience hear the same sound.

The L1 Model I double bass package is designed for DJs and bass/baritone instruments, including electric bass, organ and kick drum. It produces the same tone as our single bass package, but with much higher output levels. You can add up to two more bass modules to your system with our optional Packlite extended bass package.

The single bass package is recommended for midrange voices and instruments, including acoustic guitars, keyboards and horns. Single and double bass packages can also be used in conjunction with backline electric guitar amplifiers.

Light, easy, fast

L1 Model I system components are noticeably lightweight and portable, fitting easily into the trunk of a small car. And setup and breakdown take just minutes.

Features:
Four-channel mixer provides two mic/line input channels (1 and 2) that accept XLR and ¼" TRS connections; they feature ultra-low noise preamps, two-stage clip lights, trim controls and XLR line-out channels. Secondary input channels (3 and 4) accept ¼" unbalanced line-level sources.
Bose ToneMatch presets quickly optimize the tone of instruments and mics

Proprietary ToneMatch presets on channels 1 and 2 optimize L1 system to match intended natural sound of specific instruments and microphones on channels 1 and 2.

Cylindrical Radiator loudspeaker uses 24 small drivers mounted into a slim, vertical enclosure to create nearly 180 degrees of horizontal coverage—with little dropoff in volume and tone.

Yorkville Sound EX1B Excursion 1000 System The simple concept behind the Excursion1000 was to create a powerful, effective and highly mobile stereo club system centered around one 15-inch active subwoofer and two active 8-inch / 1-inch bi-amplified satellite loudspeakers. Result - a complete, self contained and powered system with passive and active crossover networks, engineered pre-equalization and power limiting, and separate stereo and subwoofer level controls - all built in, making the Excursion Series the ultimate in compact live/DJ systems. A complete PA system that truly is "Plug and Play."

At the core of the Excursion1000 is a 15-inch-loaded reflex subwoofer that houses all the electronics including a total of five integrated power amplifier modules. 650 Watts is dedicated to the subwoofer and a total of 300 Watts is fed to the satellite loudspeakers comprising 125 to each mid driver and 25 to each high-frequency horn.

The satellite speakers are connected to the subwoofer with two custom 8m Speakon cables that are included with the package. The system is powered by one AC line cord ensuring quick and convenient set-up and tear-down, with a minimum of cabling and connectivity around the stage. As well, a fully removable 4-wheel dolly (no "caster buzz") and custom straps make pack-outs quick and simple.

True to Yorkville loudspeaker design, all of the cabinets, and the dolly, are made with strong, durable plywood, not MDF or composites.

The electronic crossover network ensures an acoustically perfect transition between the subwoofer and the mid / high satellite speakers. Opto-limiter circuitry in the crossover network provides an unobtrusive and ''musical sounding'' compression that not only protects the speaker components, but also ensures balanced and clear reproduction from the satellite cabinets.

The entire system can be connected to any mono or stereo mixer source through either XLR or 1/4-inch TRS balanced inputs.

ToneMatch audio engine
T1 ToneMatch audio engine features proprietary Bose audio technologies for live sound

Integrated ToneMatch audio engine and audio technologies provide four independent channels featuring our largest library of ToneMatch instrument and microphone presets, proprietary zEQ and a complete suite of studio-class effects and sound processors.
Engine includes over 100 ToneMatch presets for popular instruments and mics

Proprietary ToneMatch presets optimize L1 system to match intended natural sound of specific instruments and vocal mics. Over 100 presets are organized into quick-access banks and can be independently assigned to each channel. Free ongoing updates via USB connection between your computer and ToneMatch audio engine.
Bose zEQ adjusts range of tone controls to match vocals and instruments

Proprietary zEQ automatically adjusts the range of tone controls to match your voice or instrument, making it easier to fine tune your sound. Conventional mixers may have fixed EQ ranges that don't accurately affect desired frequencies when adjusted. But zEQ appropriately redefines low, mid and high frequency ranges of specified sources.

Single-band ParaEQ centers on frequency you specify for each independent channel. Valuable tool for reshaping problematic frequencies in certain venues.

Five reverb types (small, medium, large, plate and cavern) available for global assignment, with individual channel controls for decay time, mix level and brightness.

Three delay types (analog, digital and tape) can be independently assigned to selected channels, with control over feedback time and mix level for each channel. For example, you can select tape delay for your vocal on channel 1 and analog delay for your guitar on channel 2.

Ten modulation effects (three chorus types, two flange types, four phaser types and one vintage tremolo effect) can be independently assigned to selected channels, with control over designated parameters for each channel.

Seven dynamics processing types (three compressors, limiter, de-esser, kick gate and noise gate) can be assigned to independent channels.

Scenes allow you to store, recall and edit "snapshots" of all key ToneMatch audio engine settings at any given time. This feature helps simplify setup when you're using an L1 system repeatedly in different venues. The engine includes five predefined Bose scenes, five My scenes and five Shared scenes you can give to other L1 owners.

Chromatic tuner for convenient tuning of instruments.

Large backlit display with intuitive layout and easy-to-read text for modes and settings.

Rotary encoder for quick access to modes, effects and parameters, including ToneMatch presets, zEQ, ParaEQ, reverbs, delays, modulators, dynamics processing, scenes and tuner. Features clean, circular layout.

Aux mode (channels 1 – 3) send channels' dry, pre-fader or post-fader audio to aux output for connection to additional L1 systems or recording devices. Independent level controls for optimal signal output.

Channel volume, mute and FX mute (1 – 4/5) for adjusting individual channel volume, muting individual channels and muting all effects on selected channels.

Master volume adjusts overall level of master output.

Phantom power applies +48V power to input channels 1 – 3 to drive specific microphones.

ToneMatch cable transfers audio signals and provides power to ToneMatch audio engine from L1 Model II power stand. Use the optional T1 power supply for connections to L1 Model I and Compact systems.

Mounting bar and carriage for securely attaching ToneMatch audio engine to L1 Model I or Model II loudspeaker.

EXcursion2000-2 1x12 Sat/1x18 Sub

The elite eXcursion Series is the ideal marriage of Yorkville Sound’s loudspeaker design experience, electronics innovation and power amplifier engineering. We have taken our 40 plus years as an industry innovator and pushed the boundaries yet again to create the ultimate "all-in-one" complete and convenient PA system solution for live sound or mobile DJ applications.

The simple concept behind the elite eXcursion2000 was to create a powerful effective and mobile active stereo club system PA centered around one 18-inch subwoofer and two 12-inch/1-inch satellite loudspeakers. The core of the elite eXcursion2000 is the single 1200-watt (1900 watts burst) active subwoofer loaded with the same powerful 18-inch driver used in the popular elite LS1208 subwoofer, the flagship of the elite passive subwoofer line. Powering all 3 cabinets is a breeze with all three separate power amplifiers being incorporated into the electronics of the active subwoofer.

A complete, self contained and powered system with passive and active crossover networks, equalization, and separate stereo and subwoofer level control all built in, making the elite eXcursion Series the ultimate in compact live/DJ systems. A complete PA system that truly is "Plug and Play"

All of the elite eXcursion Series products are built to Yorkville’s exacting standards and include our famous two year (even if you break it!) transferable warranty.* The latest in amplifier technology is incorporated in all eXcursion systems ensuring ultra quiet, highly efficient, high output, low distortion, and light weight from a combination of Class D and 3-tier Class A/B amplifier topologies.

Three separate power amplifiers are incorporated into the electronics of the eXcursion2000 active subwoofer. Yorkville’s proven high-output, low-distortion class-D technology is used for the 1200-Watt Subwoofer amplifier. The mid/high enclosures in the elite eXcursion2000 are driven by a stereo 450-Watt, three-tier Class A/B power amplifier. This design was chosen to deliver ample power with extremely low distortion. An integrated, dual-function electronic crossover network ensures acoustically perfect transition between the subwoofer and the mid/high satellite speakers while its opto-limiter circuitry provides an unobtrusive and ‘musical sounding’ compression that not only protects the speaker components, but also ensures balanced and clear reproduction from the satellite cabinets

eXcursion2000 Ready to Roll The entire system can be connected to any mono or stereo mixer source through either XLR or ¼-inch TRS balanced inputs. The satellite speakers are connected to the subwoofer with two 25-foot (8m) Speakon speaker cables that are included with the package. The system is powered by one AC line cord ensuring quick and convenient set-up and teardown, with a minimum of cabling and connectivity around the stage. To ensure trouble free movement from Point A to Point B, the eXcursion2000 comes shipped with a detachable swivel caster dolly and Velcro tie down strap for the satellite cabinets. Unlike competitive system solutions, the caster kit from the elite eXcursion2000 does not remain attached to the subwoofer when the system is in use, eliminating caster buzz and rattle during live performances. Nesting the satellite speakers on top of the subwoofer is a breeze thanks to the uniquely routed channel, sized and shaped specifically to match the contours of the eXcursion2000 satellite speakers. This ensures a snug, hassle free teardown at the end of a long night.

Great care was taken during the initial circuit design to ensure good common mode rejection (50/60-cycle hum rejection) at the input so this PA system is as free from extraneous noise as possible while in use. Separate gain controls for subwoofer and for the right and left satellite cabinets are easily accessible from the back panel. Warning lights show the user when the system is limiting or clipping at the input. True to Yorkville loudspeaker design, all of the cabinets in the elite eXcursion2000 are made with strong, durable plywood, not MDF or composites.

Our best portable sound system for musicians combines the Bose L1 Model II system and T1 ToneMatch audio engine. This professional concert sound system provides wide coverage, smooth tonal balance and a suite of studio-class effects and tone-shaping tools. And it's packed with proprietary Bose technologies designed to improve your amplified sound.

Sound advantages—only from Bose
Like the original, award-winning Bose L1 loudspeaker system, this Model II sound system is an all-in-one innovation that replaces conventional monitors, mixers and PA speakers. The system's breakthrough loudspeaker produces wide, uniform sound coverage of nearly 180 degrees—onstage and throughout an audience of up to several hundred—with little dropoff in volume and tone.

The Model II system also features Articulated Array speaker technology for better tonal balance. The loudspeaker's 24 vertically mounted drivers are precisely angled to create clearer highs and more consistent tone in the room. Even people off to the sides of these stage speakers enjoy well-balanced, detailed sound.

Powerful multichannel audio engine
Combining the T1 ToneMatch audio engine with an L1 system gives you exceptional amplified tone and sound processing capabilities. The compact, four-channel engine provides fingertip control of our largest library of ToneMatch presets. Just touch a button to make hundreds of precise refinements to the sound of instruments and microphones.

The engine also features a complete suite of studio-class reverbs, additional effects and dynamics processing. It connects to the L1 Model II system via a single digital cable for quick, streamlined setup.

Deep bass from small enclosures
Bose L1 Model II systems come with one B1 bass module to ensure more accurate amplification of lower notes for most voices and instruments—including guitars, keyboards and various horns. The double bass package is recommended for use as a bass guitar amplifier, and for kick drums and DJs.

B1 bass modules are considerably lighter and smaller than conventional bass bins required for the same performance. Power up to two bass modules on a single power stand. Add two more bass modules to the system with an optional PackLite® extended bass package.

Light and easy
The L1 Model II power stand weighs only 24 pounds, and its four retractable legs make it very easy to transport and set up. The power stand also has a simplified control section; the single line-level input can be used with instruments, mics, mixers, laptops, MP3 players or DVD systems.

All of the system's components are also built to handle the road. The loudspeaker has a rugged, reinforced grille, and each package includes padded carrying bags for major components.

Features:
Spatial Dispersion™ and Articulated Array speaker technologies in the loudspeaker produce wide, uniform sound coverage. The 24 small drivers are arranged using Articulated Array speaker technology in a slim, vertical enclosure—creating nearly 180 degrees of horizontal coverage and consistent tonal balance. The loudspeaker's two-piece, interlocking design makes for quick and easy setup, breakdown and transport.
Built-in power amps to drive the loudspeaker and up to two B1 bass modules

Integrated power amplifiers in the power stand provide clean, precise amplification for L1 Model II system with up to two B1 bass modules.
Digital audio and power connection for ToneMatch mixer

ToneMatch® port on power stand for digital audio and power connection to ToneMatch audio engine.

Analog input, trim control and signal/clip LED for line-level analog input via ¼" TRS phone cable. Can be used for instruments or other audio sources like DJ mixers, MP3 players, computers or DVD systems.

Retractable legs provide stability for streamlined L1 Model II power stand and loudspeaker. Four retractable legs fold out of power stand simultaneously for quick setup and compact transport.

ToneMatch audio engine

Cover and carrying case help protect engine when storing and transporting.
