iNUKE NU1000

Ultra-Lightweight, High-Density 1000-Watt Power Amplifier

iNUKE Series power amplifiers pack massive amounts of output power into exceptionally lightweight, rack-mountable packages. Our revolutionary high-density Class-D technology combined with ultra-efficient switch-mode power supplies ensures these feather-light powerhouses will drive your rig effortlessly for many years to come.

Superb transient response
We spent years fine-tuning the high-density Class-D technology that gives the iNUKE Series its oomph. By carefully selecting transistors with extremely high slew rates and optimizing other proprietary parts of our circuitry, these amps react instantly to even the most demanding electronic bass impulses.

When this amazing amplifier technology is combined with our state-of-the-art switching-mode power supplies, these amplifiers provide tremendous punch. And because they are so much more efficient than conventional designs, they run cooler and don’t require the massive heat sinks and heavy toroid transformers typically associated with their conventional counterparts.

Sublimely simple operation
The front panel controls and indicators provide your system’s vital signs at a glance. After pressing the Power button, the Power LED lights to show the amp is ready for action. All channels feature positive-detent Gain controls with Signal LEDs that light when a signal is present, as well as clip LEDs to indicate when the signal is distorted and you need to reduce the input signal.

The rear panel is just as elegant, with combo XLR and 1/4" TRS input connectors making the iNUKE compatible with virtually any source, balanced or unbalanced. Professional twist-lock speaker sockets are provided to ensure every drop of output power gets to your loudspeakers. The rear panel is also where you’ll find the switches that enable iNUKE amps to work in either dual mono, stereo or mono bridge mode. A built-in CROSSOVER switch enables the amp to operate in biamp mode, sending low frequency content to passive subwoofers, while the high frequency output is channeled to fullrange loudspeakers (CH1 > 100 Hz / CH2 < 100 Hz or FULLRANGE). Flick the LIMITER ON/OFF switch to activate the built-in overload protection, or turn it off if you’re feeling lucky.

Features:

EUROPOWER EPQ304

Professional 300-Watt Light Weight 4-Channel Power Amplifier with ATR (Accelerated Transient Response) Technology

The EPQ Series power amplifiers pack the power of Accelerated Transient Response (ATR) technology into an exceptionally lightweight package. Ample power and high-tech efficiency combine to give you a feather-light supercharged workhorse that will keep your rig kicking for years to come.

Accelerated Transient Response Delivers the Knockout Punch
It takes huge pulses of energy (current and voltage) to propel a woofer cone out fast enough to match a bass beat. That’s called Transient Response and it’s the holy grail of amp designers. By carefully selecting transistors with extremely high slew rates and optimizing other proprietary parts of our circuitry, our amps are able to react instantly to even the most demanding electronic bass impulses. If the woofers in your PA system can keep up, your audience will hear a tighter, crisper, more natural sound

Instead of operating relatively continuously like most power amps, the EPQ power amps feature rail tracking for effectively modulating the power supply rails with only the peaks of the input signal. This technology has revolutionized pro audio amp designs with its outstanding performance and efficiency. When combined with switching-mode power supplies that do away with heavy toroid transformers, our new designs provide more dynamic punch and, because they are so much more efficient, run cooler and don’t require huge, heavy heat sinks.

BEHRINGER didn’t invent this technology, but our R&D Department has been working for years to perfect our own version, creating lightweight amps that run cool and also achieve our goal of Accelerated Transient Response.

Everything You Need
The simple front panel controls of these amps give you all of your sound’s vital signs at a glance. After pressing the Power Button, the POWER LED will light when the amp is ready for action. Both channels have independent gain dials as well as clip LEDs that indicate when the signal is distorted and you need to reduce the gain. There are also SIGNAL LEDs that light up when a signal is present at the input.

On the back panels of the EPQ2000 and EPQ1200, the INPUTs accept balanced XLR, 1/4" TRS, and unbalanced 1/4" TS and RCA connections. Take your pick of professional locking speaker outputs or touch-proof binding posts to securely connect speakers. The same panel contains the switches that allow you to put these amps to work in either mono, stereo (two channel mode) or mono bridge mode. EUROPOWER EPQ1200

Professional 1,200-Watt Light Weight Stereo Power Amplifier with ATR (Accelerated Transient Response) Technology

SP-20AB HALF RACK POWER AMPLIFIER

The SP-20AB Stereo Power Amplifier is a unique and economical 20 watt per channel stereo amplifier provided the load is 8 ohms (not recommended to use less than 8 ohms in stereo mode). Its toroidal transformer delivers ultra-quiet performance, making it ideal for recording studio applications. The SP-20A may be operated in any of three modes as selected by a rear-panel switch: normal stereo, two channel mono, or single channel (bridged) mono. The latter mode allows a power output of 30 watts provided the load is 16 ohms (not recommended to use less than 16 ohms in bridged mode).

The SP-20AB is housed in a compact, half rack chassis, allowing it to be mounted either alone or side by side with other SP-20AB's in a 19" rack. Mounting kits are available from Furman.

The SP-20AB's small size makes it ideal for modular use in large commercial installations with multiple small speakers. Its power capacity is also just right for driving the small 'cube' reference speakers used in most recording studios as a comparison with the main control room monitors - it can power them without overpowering them.

The SP-20AB's output is available through either of two connectors: standard banana jack binding posts for speakers, or through a male XLR connector. The latter allows the unit to become a headphone driver, linking any number of Furman HR-2 Headphone Remote Stations together via standard microphone cables. Each HR-2 station conveniently clips to a mic stand and provides individual volume controls for two sets of headphones. When used for overdubbing or rehearsal, this setup provides plenty of loudness in any kind of headphones (even older lowimpedance models), and allows each musician to set his or her own comfortable volume level. When the overdubbing is complete and the musicians remove their headphones, the SP-20AB can also power the tape playback speakers through the banana jacks. The output - headphone chain or speakers - is selected by pressing a front panel pushbutton. An additional headset may be plugged directly into the SP-20AB's front panel. A volume control is provided for it.

The SP-20AB has a convenient input level control on the left side of the front panel. A pair of yellow LED's — one for each channel — light up whenever signal is present (threshold -28 dBu). Another pair of red LED's show an overload condition in either channel. The SP-20AB is fully protected against thermal overload, and it can withstand a short circuit on any or all outputs for an indefinite time without damage.

Features:
 • 20 watts per channel in stereo mode (requires load of 8 ohms)
 • Toroidal transformer for ultra-quiet performance
 • May be bridged for 30 watt mono operation (requires load of 16 ohms)
 • Front panel headphone jack with volume control

With over five decades of experience designing and building rock-solid products, Crown is the standard in amplifier technology. So check out the Crown XLS Series. They are a powerful argument for performance, flexibility, and value!

Integrated DriveCore Technology
Class D amplifiers are notable for extraordinarily high efficiency and being well suited for driving difficult reactive loads such as subwoofers. However, their performance can suffer impaired performance on marginal and unstable AC line supplies.

To overcome this obstacle, Crown engineers developed DriveCore Technology – a proprietary hybrid analog-digital integrated circuit (IC) developed with Texas Instruments that drives the "front end" of the Class D output stage. Over 60 years of Crown's design knowledge and experience went into the development of this technology resulting in truly remarkable benefits.

DriveCore Technology provides an extremely wide-tolerance with regards to sagging or "dirty" AC line conditions providing consistent performance without affecting audio quality. This means that your performance will not be compromised by fluctuating generator power or overloading by lighting rigs, backline gear, etc.

In addition, DriveCore Technology's patented feedback and PWM modulation circuits enable fast recovery on peak transients, accurate reproduction of low-level detail, and precise tracking of low-frequencies at high power levels for maximum subwoofer output.

Advanced Switched-Mode Power Supply
This advanced power supply is highly efficient and optimized for maximum power transfer from the AC line through the Class D output stage to the loudspeakers. A benefit to this is substantial weight reduction when compared to older 60Hz transformer-based power supplies. All four models in the line weigh 10 pounds or less with no compromise in performance. This makes the XLS Series the benchmark for high performance lightweight portability.

Minimum Guaranteed Power:

GX3

GX Series amplifiers are ideal for professional entertainers who require maximum performance and portability on a limited budget. The hallmarks of the QSC brand - professional audio quality, meticulous engineering, precision manufacturing and long-term reliability - are all intrinsic to GX. Add contemporary styling, multiple input/output options, light weight, and advanced protection circuitry, and the GX Series clearly represents real value - something everyone can use.

GX amplifiers deliver just the right amount of power to the most popular speakers used by entertainers. Typically, loudspeaker manufacturers recommend an amplifier with power output equal to the speaker's Program (Music) Power rating or two times (2 x) the Continuous (RMS) Power rating.

The GX3 is ideal for speakers in the 300 watt (Program) range, while the GX5 provides full performance for 500 watt (Program) speakers. The GX7 outputs 725 watts into an 8 ohm load. Owners of popular 4 ohm loudspeakers (such as dual-woofer, two-way models) will find the 700 watt (4 ohm) power of the GX5 an ideal match while the GX7's 1000 watts will very capably power many of today's popular subwoofers or two typical 8 ohm speakers per channel.

Technical Notes

The GX3 uses the latest evolution of the QSC Grounded Collector output system, for optimum cooling of the critical power transistors. A true Class B biasing system combines maximum thermal efficiency with excellent audio performance.

The GX5 uses a Class H system, based on key elements of the PL Series, (PLX, PL3, CX, DCA) almost doubling power in the same size and weight. QSC design expertise allows the output devices to shift from low-power to high-power rails in less than a millionth of a second, ensuring that the output power is always right where it needs to be without excess loss.

Both amplifiers use premium toroidal power transformers for reliable "mid-weight" performance. A variable-speed fan moves air crosswise through the amplifier, drawing cool air in over the power transformer, through the fan, and then over the heat sink. This keeps the transformer cool and allows a full size heat sink to fit in a down-sized chassis.

The GX7 adds the road-proven PowerLight supply to the Class H output section, for more overall output power and additional weight savings. The result is one of the highest power-to-weight ratios in the industry. A low-noise variable-speed fan with rear-to-front airflow keeps amplifiers and racks cool.

As always, GX Series amplifiers are fully protected from the usual hazards of the trade, ensuring stable performance and long life.

GuardRail
GuardRail protection delivers full peak power while preventing detrimental overloads. During excessive clipping, or extreme overheating, GuardRail reduces gain just enough to preserve the integrity of the music, protect the speakers and keep the audience excited, without unprofessional distortion levels or shutdowns.

Subwoofer/Satellite Crossover
A subwoofer reduces strain on the full-range speaker, allowing it to play louder, or letting a smaller speaker do the same job. The GX Series supports this mode with a Crossover switch that splits the full-range input entering Ch 1, sending 20 Hz -100 Hz to the sub (Ch 1) and 100 Hz - 20 kHz to the top box (Ch 2). The front panel gain controls balance the sub and top box, while GuardRail optimizes peak power into the sub and top individually, for greater musical impact and dynamic range. EUROPOWER EP2000

Professional 2,000-Watt Stereo Power Amplifier with ATR (Accelerated Transient Response) Technology

The EP2000 and EP4000 represent everything musicians love about our popular EP1500/EP2500—excellent sound quality, road-worthy toughness and reliability, low-noise operation and incredible power. With 2,000 and 4,000-Watts respectively, the EP2000 and EP4000 amplifiers are perfect for medium-sized club gigs, mobile PA systems, church services or public spaces.

Everything you need, nothing you don’t
The über-simple front panel controls of these amps give you all of your sound’s vital signs at a glance. After flipping the MAIN switch, the POWER LED will light when the amp is ready for action. Both channels have independent gain dials as well as clip LEDs that indicate when the signal is distorted and you need to reduce the gain. There are also SIGNAL LEDs that light up when a signal is present at the input.

Panel discussion
A panel of switches found on the back panel offers an array of cool options to apply to both channels of the EP2000 and EP4000. The Clip Limiter lets you get even more out of the amplifier without overdriving either it or your speaker system. Built-in circuitry automatically senses when the EP2000 or EP4000 is being overdriven into “clipping” and then momentarily reduces the input level to avoid clipping distortion. This all happens in a few thousandths of a second, so it’s an inaudible way of avoiding audible clipping distortion. Of course, you can turn the Limiter off if you’re feeling lucky.

Ultra-low frequency sounds (infrasonics) are caused by rickety stage vibrations, mic thumps and wind noise. While technically inaudible, they can cause a huge drain on amp power, potential damage to your speakers and a sludgy sound in the audible bass ranges. Both EP models feature a defeatable Low Cut Filter that chops off unwanted frequencies below 50Hz or 30Hz (depending on your PA system’s capabilities).

The same panel contains the switches that allow you to put these amps to work in either stereo or bridge (mono) mode. Both the EP2000 and EP4000 can be linked to additional power amps by switching into parallel mode.

These amps have guts
There’s plenty of awesome features on the outside of the EP2000 and EP4000, but there’s also a team of cool components on the inside helping it work its magic. They come loaded with famously reliable Toshiba/Fairchild power transistors as well as a high-current toroidal transformer for ultra-high transient response and further reliability. Independent DC and thermal overload protection on each channel automatically protects the amplifier and speakers from any show-stopping meltdowns. There’s no need for fuses, giving you one fewer potential mid-gig headache.

The EP2000 and EP4000 have both XLR and 1/4" TRS inputs. Even the outputs are totally flexible, consisting of Speakon-compatible outputs and five-way binding posts. Whether you’re dealing with bare wire or boutique audiophile cabling, the EP2000 and EP4000 are right at home.

The exhaust fan, visible on the back panel, is the final stage of an internal back-to-front cooling system that keeps these amps working in the mild temperatures they love, even through periods of extended use. Finally, an impact-resistant, all-steel 2U rackmount chassis helps these workhorses stand up to all the rigors of the road.

Accelerated Transient Response delivers the knock-out punch
It takes huge pulses of energy (current and voltage) to propel a woofer cone out fast enough to match a bass beat. That’s called Transient Response and it’s the holy grail of amp designers. By carefully selecting transistors with extremely highslew rates and optimizing other proprietary parts of our circuitry, our amps are able to react instantly to even the most demanding electronic bass impulses. If the woofers in your PA system can keep up, your audience will hear a tighter, crisper, more natural sound.

The legend powers on
If you read the reviews of the EP2000 and EP4000’s older brothers, the EP1500 and EP2500, and it’s clear that those amps are renowned not only for their performance and durability, but also their astoundingly low price tags. The EP2000 and EP4000 extend that legacy to the next level. Why shell out for a “Brand-X” amp when you can get a BEHRINGER EUROPOWER amp and have money left over for other gear?

EUROPOWER EPX2800

Professional 2800-Watt Lightweight Stereo Power Amplifier with ATR (Accelerated Transient Response) Technology

Ultra-light, Built on a Legacy
Power amps have always been heavy, mainly because of their massive transformers and heat sinks. Our new EPX Series amps are based on groundbreaking switch-mode power supply technology, which eliminates the heavy transformer. As a result, these amps weigh about 40% less than their conventional counterparts. In fact, the EPX2800 and EPX4000 are just 22.3 lbs (10.1 kg) each, so you can practically lift them with just one finger. Best of all, EPX Series amps are super-reliable and provide even tighter bass performance than their predecessors, since they can deliver ultra-high peak currents on demand.

In a Class of Their Own
The secret to the EPX Series’ incredible power-to-weight ratio is the use of a switch-mode power supply combined with Class-H topology. Because they work on demand, instead of operating continuously at full power, switch-mode power supplies are much more efficient than traditional power supplies. And since they don’t require the massive transformers and heat sinks typically found in conventional power amps, they are significantly smaller and lighter, yet still deliver ample power.

Think of a Class-H amp as being similar to a car with two engines (in amps, we call them “rails”). One engine runs all the time. The other runs only when musical peaks demand the extra power output. An EPX Class-H amp only generates a fraction more power than is immediately needed, while the output stage operates at its maximum efficiency all the time. And just like in today’s hybrid cars, the efficiency of this dual system is far greater than having just one engine or rail that has to operate continuously.

Accelerated Transient Response Delivers the Knockout Punch
It takes huge pulses of energy (current and voltage) to propel a woofer cone out fast enough to match a bass beat. That’s called Transient Response and it’s the holy grail of amp designers. By carefully selecting transistors with extremely high slew rates and optimizing other proprietary parts of our circuitry, EPX amps can react instantly to even the most demanding electronic bass impulses. If the woofers in your PA system can keep up, your audience will hear a tighter, crisper, more natural sound.

BEHRINGER didn’t invent Class-H technology, but our R&D Department has been working for years to perfect our own version, creating lightweight amps that run cool and achieve our goal of Accelerated Transient Response.

Everything You Need
The simple front panel controls of these amps give you all of your sound’s vital signs at a glance. After pressing the Power Button, the POWER LED will light when the amp is ready for action. Both channels have independent gain dials, as well as CLIP LEDs that notify you when the signal is distorted and you need to reduce the gain. There are also SIGNAL LEDs that light up when a signal is present at the input.

Panel Discussion
The EPX Series’ INPUTs accept balanced XLR, ¼ " TRS, and unbalanced ¼ " TS and RCA connections. Take your pick of professional locking speaker outputs or touch-proof binding posts to securely connect speakers.

A panel of switches located on the back off ers an array of cool options applicable to both channels. The switchable Clip Limiter lets you get even more out of the amplifier without overdriving either it or your speaker system. Built-in circuitry automatically senses when the amp is being overdriven into “clipping” and instantaneously reduces the input level just enough to avoid clipping distortion.

Built-In Crossover
The rear panel also contains a switch that allows you to put these amps to work in mono, stereo (two-channel mode) or bridge mode, which is always mono. A built-in CROSSOVER switch lets you put the amp into biamp mode, which sends low-frequency content (<100 Hz) to the CH2 Output and the high-frequency component to CH1 automatically, no external hardware required.

Features:
 • 2 x 1400 Watts into 2 Ohms; 2 x 800 Watts into 4 Ohms; 2800 Watts into 4 Ohms (bridge mode)
 • ATR (Accelerated Transient Response) technology for ultimate punch and clarity
