Line Matching Transformer (Male LXR to 1/4" Male Plug/Female Jack)
The Shure A95U is a reversible transformer that matches low- or high-impedance microphones to high- or low-impedance inputs. The transformer permits use of very long microphone cables with high-impedance microphones. However, when connecting a high-impedance microphone, limit the cable length between the microphone and the transformer to 4.6 m (15 foot). The cable from the transformer to the low-impedance input can be any desired length.
The transformer prevents high-frequency loss, level loss, and pickup of noise and hum. The A95U comes furnished with a Male XLR connector on the low-impedance end, with a 1/4 inch phone plug and phone jack adapter on the high-impedance end.
Line Matching Transformer (XLR to 1/4" Male Plug/Female Jack)
The Shure A95UF is a reversible transformer that matches low-impedance microphones to high-impedance inputs or high-impedance microphones to low-impedance inputs. The transformer permits use of very long microphone cables with either low-impedance or high-impedance microphones. The only requirement is to limit the cable to 4.6 m (15 ft) between the high-impedance end of the transformer and the low-impedance microphone or microphone input. The transformer prevents high-frequency loss, level loss, and objectionable pickup of noise or hum.
The A95UF is furnished with a Female XLR professional audio connector on the low-impedance end, and with both a standard 1/4-inch male phone plug and female phone jack adapter for the high-impedance end. Typical applications include connecting a balanced low-impedance microphone to an unbalanced high-impedance input on a mixer or recorder, and connecting a balanced mixer output to an unbalanced high-impedance input on a recorder.
The Shure A96F transformer connects microphones with an XLR-type connector to the 3.5 mm inputs found on camcorders and other recording devices. It increases the signal level from the microphone, provides a balanced input, and prevents distortion due to the DC bias voltage typically found in camcorder microphone inputs.
The A96F can be modified for microphones rated at 150 ohms. This modification is only necessary if the output level from the A96F is insufficient for your recording device. It features a female XLR connector on the microphone end and .6 meter (2 ft) cable with 3.5 mm phono plug on the recorder end.
The Shure Beta 52A is a high output dynamic microphone with a tailored frequency response designed specifically for kick drums and other bass instruments. It provides superb attack and "punch", and delivers studio quality sound even at extremely high sound pressure levels.
The Beta 52A features a modified supercardioid pattern throughout its frequency range to insure high gain-before-feedback and excellent rejection of unwanted sound. A built in dynamic locking stand adapter with an integral XLR connector simplifies installation, particularly if the microphone is to be placed inside a kick drum. The stand adapter keeps the microphone position fixed and resists slipping, even when subjected to sharp blows and strong vibrations. A hardened steel mesh grille protects the Beta 52A from the abuse and wear associated with touring.

Frequency response shaped specifically for kick drums and bass instruments
Built–in dynamic locking stand adapter with integral XLR connector simplifies setup, especially inside a kick drum
Studio quality performance, even at extremely high sound pressure levels
Supercardioid pattern for high gain before feedback and superior rejection of unwanted noise
Hardened steel mesh grille that resists wear and abuse
Advanced pneumatic shock mount system that minimizes transmission of mechanical noise and vibration
Neodymium magnet for high signal–to–noise ratio output
