Our AW-2 and AW-2G series of clip-on tuners have achieved enormous popularity for their unbeatable convenience, their high accuracy, extremely high visibility, and for the quality and value that musicians have come to expect from Korg. Now, this series is joined by the AW-2U, a dedicated version for the ukulele. The AW-2U ukulele tuner provides easy and accurate tuning for all types of ukuleles, from the popular four-stringed soprano ukulele to the eight-stringed baritone ukulele, in a convenient clip-on form. The AW-2U is a must-have item for everyone who loves Hawaiian music, from the beginner to the advanced ukulele player.
Ideal for every type of ukulele First choose the ukulele size, either Standard or Baritone. Now select the number of strings – 4 string or 6-8 string. With these two settings, The AW-2U is ready to accurately tune all four sizes of ukulele (soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone) with any type of stringing, whether it's the standard four-string instrument, or a six- or eight-stringed ukulele. Combining the Standard and 6-8 String settings provides access to Low-G tuning, for enjoying solo performances over a wide range of pitches. With the display showing the string name and note name in large characters, the AW-2U is an ideal first tuner for the beginning ukulele player, as well as for the seasoned professional.
Easy tuning dexterity Simply attach the AW-2U directly to the headstock of the ukulele and you're ready to tune. With no wasted motions, you'll be able to tune smoothly and accurately. This clip-type tuner is designed to work with ukulele heads over a range of thicknesses. One side of the clip has an interior pad whose angle is adjustable, ensuring a stable fit. The display is connected to the clip using a double ball joint that provides a broad range of movement – left, right, up or down – providing the maximum in freedom of adjustability. This way, the performer can adjust the display to the perfect angle, and continue to tune in a natural position.
Multi-mode backlight for superb visibility Blazing sunlight, evening twilight, nighttime illumination – a performer can be asked to play under a variety of lighting situations. That's why Korg equipped the AW-2U with a backlit meter that can be set to one of three modes.
OFF: Turns the backlighting off in bright conditions with good visibility. SOFT: Offers a battery-saving soft illumination for low-brightness situations. AUTO:Provides strong backlighting for high visibility in low-light environments. Auto mode also switches down to the soft mode to conserve battery life if there has been no audio activity or buttons pressed for about 10 seconds.
So regardless of your performing situation, you're ensured of reliable viewing and perfect tuning.
Solid tuner functions Light-weight and ultra-compact the AW-2U provides a solid set of basic tuning functions. Unlike the built-in microphone, the internal piezo sensor picks up vibrations directly from the instrument, allowing you to tune even when there are other sounds around you. If desired, you can switch to tuning via the built-in mic; you can even attach the tuner to a mic stand. The AW-2U is powered by a widely available CR2032 lithium battery, giving you an amazing 150 hours of operation with the backlight turned off. Auto Power-Off and Memory Backup functions are also provided.

NEW COLOR: Enjoy the TM-40 Digital Metronome Tuner in a rich Pearl White finish (TM-40PW).
Korg TM-40 - The Digital Tuner That Lets You Practice Pitch and Rhythm at the Same Time! When Korg introduced a digital metronome tuner to the world, the extremely high accuracy and superb features made it a favorite among musicians from every genre. The new Korg TM-40 is a digital metronome that combines the accuracy and advanced features of Korg's world-famous music products into a single, compact and easy-to-use unit.
"The TM-40 is my favorite metronome. So many metronomes today are combined with too many features. Sometimes simply turning them on can be complicated! The TM-40 is perfect in its layout. On one side is the metronome, and the other side is Korg's very accurate tuner. This unit is very easy to use and it makes me want to practice more!" - Lee Ritenour
Revolutionary Features: A great lesson and practice tool, the TM-40 offers both tuner and metronome functions that can be used simultaneously or independently. A large LCD-type needle delivers both the accuracy of an LCD and excellent visibility of a needle indicator. The metronome tuner also has LED indicators that show pitch deviation or blink to indicate the tempo, making the TM-40 a great visual tool.
Excellent Functionality and a Wide Detection Range With a detection range of C1 (32.70 Hz) - C8 (4186.01 Hz), the TM-40 provides quick and accurate coverage of a wide spectrum of notes and pitches for wind, string, keyboard and most other instruments. Even low-pitched instruments with complex overtone structures are detected with the precision you expect from KORG. A built-in high-sensitivity microphone allows acoustic instruments such as a guitar or ukulele to be tuned easily and accurately, and the separately sold CM-100L contact microphone can be used to send the vibrations directly to the metronome tuner for even greater precision.
Sound Out! In addition to the visual tuning guide provided by the meter, you can use the TM-40's built-in speaker to produce a tuning reference pitch (Sound Out). This is convenient for tuning by ear and is useful for ear training. By pressing the Sound switch, you can select the reference pitch from A5 to B4 (commonly used as the tuning standard for wind instruments). Moreover, by holding down the Sound switch, you can select a mode in which you step through chromatic pitches from C4 to C5 (one octave).
Adjustable Calibration The TM-40's Calibration setting is adjustable in a range of 410~480 Hz to accommodate a variety of tuning standards. The calibration can be adjusted in 1 Hz steps, letting you accurately tune to any song or key. Memory backup is also provided so that the Calibration and Sound Out ("12 NOTES" or "ABb") settings are remembered even when the power is turned off.
Pure Major Third and Minor Third Interval Markings When intervals of a third are played out of tune in the context of a brass band, orchestra, or other ensemble, it is particularly noticeable. However, those intervals can be made to blend more pleasantly by slightly adjusting them (relative to the equal-tempered pitch) to a pure major or minor third. The TM-40's meter scale provides markings to indicate pitches of a pure major and pure minor third relative to a selected pitch. By tuning your instrument so that the meter's indicator needle points to these markings, you can ensure beautiful harmonies when playing in an ensemble. This capability is very useful for not only wind instruments, but also for vocal or a cappella practice.
* The appropriate note to adjust when tuning to a pure major/minor third will depend on the music you are playing.
Metronome Section The metronome section of this portable metronome offers convenient functions for practicing a variety of music.
Beat mode - choose from preset patterns. Beat mode lets you choose a preset tempo and time signature, while Tap mode lets you specify your own tempo. The compact TM-40 contains a large speaker that produces a clear and distinct metronome sound.
Thirteen rhythm variations for practicing a wide range of styles. The TM-40 contains thirteen types of rhythms that cover 0-7 beats per measure as well as doublets, triplets, triplets with center beats omitted, quadruplets, and quadruplets with center beats omitted.* Tempo is easily adjustable in a range of 40 - 208 beats per minute (bpm). Sophisticated rhythms, such as triplets/quadruplets with center beats omitted, give you the flexibility to cover a wide range of styles from classical to rock and jazz. Since the volume is adjustable, the TM-40 can meet the needs of any situation from private practice in a small room to sessions in a large studio.
* When using the tuner and metronome functions simultaneously, triplets, triplets with center beats omitted, quadruplets, and quadruplets with center beats omitted are not available.
Tempo Adjustment Options When you adjust the tempo setting on this metronome tuner, you can choose the tempo value either in "full-step" mode (steps of a single unit) or "pendulum-step" mode (steps of several units as on a mechanical metronome). Choose the mode that you prefer.
Set the Tempo with the Tap Function The TM-40's Tap Tempo function lets you detect and set the desired tempo simply by pressing the metronome tuner START/STOP button at the desired timing in a range of 40 - 208 bpm. This makes it easy when practicing to a song where you don't know the tempo, such as a recording on a CD.
Memory Backup With the Memory Backup feature, the Korg TM-40 remembers your Tempo, Beat, Calibration, and Reference Pitch settings even when powered-off.
Auto Power Off When the metronome tuner is not in use for twenty minutes , the TM-40 will automatically turn off to extend battery life.
Korg metronome tuners purchased from a Korg USA authorized dealer now have a three year warranty.

AW-2 includes two clips for use with a variety of wind or string instruments The sweet spot that will pick up the sound most effectively varies between instruments - the neck or bell of a wind instrument, or the head or tailpiece of a string instrument --- and the shape of the attachment location differs accordingly. The AW-2 Chromatic Tuner comes with two clips (one large, one small), so you can choose depending on your situation or preference. The large clip is ideal for various wind instruments or string instruments, and the small clip is perfect for use on the thin bell region of a trumpet or trombone.
Excellent tuning functionality: a broad tuning range and high precision In spite of their light weight and ultra-small size, the AW-2 Chromatic Tuner boasts a broad tuning range of A0--C8 and a full complement of solid tuning functionality. A vibration-sensing piezo pickup is built in to the chromatic tuner, ensuring stable tuning even in a noisy environment. You can also tune using the internal mic. In addition, when using the AW-2/AW-2G clip-on tuner in a vertical position, you can use Korg's proprietary Meter Reverse function to switch the meter so that its High (+) indication is upward. The chromatic tuner is powered by a widely available CR2032-type lithium battery, and with the backlight off, the battery life extends to an amazing 150 hours. Numerous other functions are provided, including adjustable calibration to support various concert pitches, auto power off, and memory backup.
Markings indicate pure major third and minor third intervals for beautiful ensemble playing Inaccuracies of the harmonies in a triad are particularly easy to notice when playing in an ensemble such as a brass band or orchestra. By slightly adjusting the pitch of a major or minor third relative to the equal-tempered interval, a beautiful-sounding pure third can be obtained*. The meter scale of the AW-2 clip-on tuner includes markings to indicate pure major and minor thirds relative to a specified pitch. Simply by tuning your instrument to these markings, you can perform beautiful, pure harmonies when playing in an ensemble.
