If a lack of money and floor space is all that's been standing between you and a home recording studio full of badass vintage guitar amps and eff ects pedals, get ready to love the V-AMP 3. This red rocker comes loaded with 32 amp models, 15 speaker cabinet models and 16 classic effects.

Any Classic You Like
The V-AMP 3's 32 amp models are organized into four groups: CLEAN, BLUES, METAL and ROCK. Just twist the dedicated dial to plug into unbelievably authentic simulations of the greatest British and American tube amps from the 1950s to today. You even get models of uncommon—yet renowned—boutique tube amps! When you select an amp model, a speaker cabinet model is automatically selected. But if you'd prefer a diff erent model, just go to EDIT>CABINETS, then use the BANK UP/DOWN buttons to navigate through all 15 options.

Just like on an actual guitar amp, you've got a three-band EQ, GAIN, REVERB, VOLUME and MASTER VOLUME dials. By holding the TAP button, the TREBLE dial becomes a PRESENCE control. This enables the adjustment of a high-frequency fi lter that can add or remove a "shimmer" from the V-AMP 3's tone.

Top Tone—In Full Effect
The V-AMP 3 gives you fl anger, chorus, compression, delay and 12 other beautiful digital eff ects to apply to your sound. Adjust the eff ect's level in the mix via the EFFECTS dial. To adjust eff ect parameters, you can rhythmically press the TAP button to alter delay times or LFO speeds, or hold down the TAP button and twist the EFFECTS knob to access e.g. feedback or depth. By using a MIDI pedal, such as the BEHRINGER FCB1010, you can access an additional Wah Wah eff ect. You can adjust the fi lter characteristic by entering EDIT mode, selecting the DRIVE menu and turning the EFFECTS knob while holding the TAP button.

Presenting the Presets
All of these elements have been combined into 125 different presets divided into 25 banks, accessible through the BANK UP/ BANK DOWN buttons. Within each bank, you can press buttons A through E to explore its different presets. You can also create and save your own presets. Start by selecting a preset, then making any changes you wish: amp, EQ, effect, etc. The preset LED will begin to flash, indicating that the V-AMP 3 is ready to save your settings. To do this, hold the preset button down for about two seconds. Once the LED stops flashing, you have saved the modified preset. On top of all this, the V-AMP 3 also features a built-in tuner and noise gate. In essence, it's a Swiss Army Knife for the home recording enthusiast or gigging guitarist who can't seem to settle on one amp.

Stunning in the studio
The V-AMP 3 features several confi gurations that make it an invaluable asset in the studio. Access the confi guration menu by pressing the B and D buttons at the same time. Then use BANK UP and BANK DOWN to select a confi guration.

When using headphones, the V-AMP 3 will switch into Studio Mode 1 (S1). This stereo mode works well for both monitoring and recording with effects, amp and speaker modeling. It doesn't apply the additional three-band EQ to the signal, but most recording programs have their own EQ. In Studio Mode 2 (S2), the V-AMP 3 sends a signal with amp and speaker simulation, but only the right output has eff ects. You can either record both left and right outputs to separate tracks, or record the "dry" left output while monitoring the right output.

Stellar on Stage
The V-AMP 3 has three live configurations. When performing live with this device, you can either run it to an amp on stage, run directly to the mixing board, or both. Live Mode 1 is the best choice for running the outputs directly to the mixer, because it applies amp and speaker simulation, eff ects and an additional 3-band EQ.

Use Live Mode 2 to run the V-AMP 3 into the effects return inputs of 2 different guitar amps. This configuration does not feature speaker simulation, allowing the amplifier's natural speaker sound to go unaltered. In this scenario, the amps would be mic'd on stage to get the sound to the house speakers, and having a dedicated monitor would be less important. In Live Mode 3, you can send the left output to an amp's eff ects return for onstage volume, while the right output sends signal to the main mixer for inclusion in the main house mix. Also note that you can press the TAP key while turning the GAIN knob to adjust the input sensitivity to match the output of your guitar's pickups. If the CLIP LED lights, the input's sensitivity should be reduced.

Veni, MIDI, Vici
The V-AMP 3 comes fully equipped to fit right into a MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) setup. It can be controlled in real time from a computer, or via a MIDI foot controller during a live performance. Its MIDI connectors are international-standard 5-pin DIN connectors. You will need dedicated MIDI cables (not included).

The MIDI IN jack receives MIDI controller data. It can be adjusted in EDIT mode by pressing the A button and then using the arrow keys. MIDI OUT/THRU sends data to a computer. You can transmit both preset data and parameter changes. Some people even use the V-AMP as a remote control for parameters of their DAW or VST instruments, which is more handy than using the mouse alone. If set to MIDI THRU, the V-AMP 3 does not send its own MIDI information, but passes on the signal received at the MIDI IN connector.

Fine design
Designing MojoMojo Overdrive was both very simple and very complex. We knew what we wanted from the start: A pedal that sounds like an amp, a very open character and little compression. We wanted the pedal to be alive, have an attitude and pick up on the subtleties of your playing in a dynamic way. To add to the challenge, we didn't go for the sound of any old amp, MojoMojo Overdrive needed to give you that sweet, glassy and purely musical cranked tweed sound. We basically set out to capture lightning in a bottle with a clarity that even allowed for complex chords to stand out. We wanted to deliver the magic, spine-shivering feeling of an amplifier working hard and delivering pure valve tone.

Also, we recognized that adding an overdrive isn't simple for tone-conscious guitarists. Anyone can slam a pedal onto their board and hope for the best, but we know what it's like to spend countless hours sculpting your own sound. And when adding an overdrive, the last thing you want is for the tone to change. We set out to deliver a pedal that adds new stages of crunch, but leaves your tone alone, just like a great overdrive pedal should. In other words, MojoMojo Overdrive is like adding another channel to your amp and it will sound like it always belonged there.

So far for the simple part. The complex part came in designing the pedals. We are excited to say we solved the puzzle, and that the result is simply astounding.

One of the reasons why we've achieved such a dynamic pedal is the fact that we use a special circuit that ramps up the voltage to more than 3-4 times the amount of your typical drive pedals. However, we don't use this added gain to squeeze more overdrive/distortion out of the pedal, but to dramatically increase the headroom and dynamics.

The result? The most alive overdrive you have ever heard, a pedal that defines all that is magic about overdriven sounds and a pedal that responds to your playing in dynamic and ultra-musical ways. Much More than Just Reverb and Delay
The FX2000 has some of the best-sounding reverb and delay programs, but that’s not all. It also provides excellent modulation effects (such as chorus, flanger and phaser), including special variations like musical pitch shifter, tremolo and even a rotary speaker simulation.

STEREO FLANGER (originally generated by playing back two synchronized “reel to reel” tape recorders with a finger rubbing on the flange of one of the take-up reels)

JET STREAM FLANGER sounds like a classic analog flanger
STEREO CHORUS (combines a slightly detuned signal with the original)

PITCH SHIFTER (changes the pitch of the original signal) – can be used to create harmonies with the original signal or replace it entirely with the altered pitch. Choices include stereo, two and three vocal pitch shifter
VIBRATO – the peak frequency of the tone is periodically and uniformly changed (quickly or slowly)
TREMOLO (common vintage guitar amplifier effect) – a fast or slow periodic variation in volume
AUTO PANNING – signal is automatically sent from one side of the stereo image to the other, either once or multiple times

Dynamic FX:

COMPRESSOR – reduces the dynamic range of the signal, maintains consistent signal level and thus avoids distortion associated with excessive input levels
EXPANDER – effectively broadens the dynamic range of source signals while reducing background noise
GATED REVERB – helps reduce background clutter by turning reverb off below a predetermined threshold level. Particularly effective on drum mics and vocals
ANA. KOMPR/LIM. — similar to COMPRESSOR but with Limiting functionality
ULTRAMIZER – analyses incoming signal and automatically applies compression across two independent frequency bands
DENOISER – eliminates or reduces noise and other interference
DE-ESSER – reduces or removes sibilance (Ssss sound) from signal
WAVE DESIGNER – allows you to influence the envelope by adjusting Attack and Release of the signal

Psychoacoustic FX:

EXCITER – adds artificially generated overtones to the original signal, increasing presence and perceived loudness without significant increase in signal level
ENHANCER – functions much like a dynamic pitch equalizer
ULTRA BASS – sub-harmonic processor combined with bass exciter and limiter
STEREO IMAGER – divides the signal into middle and side signals, allowing individual signals to be amplif ed when desired and placed on the stereo image
ULTRA WIDE – creates a broader stereo image
BINAURALIZER – also creates a broader stereo image and compensates for crosstalk between both speakers

Filter/EQ FX:

AUTO FILTER – influences the frequency response of a signal. Two filters are included: low pass allows low frequencies to pass and suppresses high frequency content; high pass does the exact opposite
LFO FILTER - Controls the rate of oscillation effects
PARAMETRIC EQ – allows you to control the bandwidth, frequency and amplitude of a signal
GRAPHIC EQ – the sound spectrum is divided into eight (8) adjacent frequency bands, which can be cut or boosted, bandwidth is predetermined

Distortion FX and Amp Simulations
The FX2000 is also equipped with distortion, amplifier and speaker simulation including VOCAL DISTORTION, TUBE DISTORTION, GUITAR AMP, TRI FUZZ, SPEAKER SIMULATION, RING MODULATOR and LO-FI.

Special FX:

VINYLIZER – adds clicks and/or noise to the signal, reminiscent of old vinyl records and tape machines
SAMPLER – allows you to record and playback up to five (5) seconds of program material
VOCODER – allows the input signal to modulate another signal (usually a synthesizer sound), creating the familiar “talking synthesizer” effect
VOICE CANCELER – removes mono vocal parts from stereo recordings for “instant Karaoke”
