High-Performance, Active 80-Watt Commercial Sound Speaker System
For way too long, boardrooms, classrooms and restaurants around the world have had to put up with bad sound. You know, the kind generated by those flimsy “tin-cans-mounted-in-ceiling-tiles” (that no one seems to remember ever having installed in the first place). You can kiss “bad sound” goodbye forever thanks to the great-sounding new CE500A loudspeaker systems from BEHRINGER — and they’re available in your choice of black or white.
We Mean Business The CE500A speaker system is ideal for business environments, letting you enjoy full, clear sound over a wide listening area. Specifi cally designed to complement commercial indoor facilities such as restaurants, shops, exhibition halls and more, CE500As come equipped with special mounting brackets, allowing them to be mounted on walls or suspended from above. This means you can aim them, which is handy considering people have ears on the sides of their heads, not the top!
More Like Studio Monitors Than “Tin-Cans” Inside these multi-purpose active loudspeakers are powerful 5 1/2" woofers and high-resolution 1/2" tweeters powered by an internal 80-Watt amplifi er. These transducers have been designed to work with the onboard amp seamlessly, meaning there is not too much, or even worse, too little wattage to adequately power the system. And the sound quality of the CE500A puts those aforementioned “tin-cans” to shame.
Serious Connections Connecting the CE500A couldn’t be easier, thanks to the convenient rear panel which provides a standard XLR mic socket and RCA jacks for hooking up a tape/CD or even MP3 deck. What if you could mount your personal monitor on a mic stand and point it right at your face—and what if it sounded really good? What if it sounded so good it could be used as your main PA system for more intimate gigs and meetings? Say hello to the new B205D, an active PA loudspeaker that is small and light enough to mount on a mic stand. But don’t let the small size fool you—the B205D cranks out high-fidelity sound and comes loaded with features that will simply astound you!
The Secret to B205D’s Amazing Sound Thanks to our revolutionary Class-D amplifier technology and internal switchmode power supplies, not only do B205D loudspeakers sound great, they weigh considerably less than most competing active speakers. They pump out 150 of the cleanest, punchiest Watts you’ve ever heard from a compact loudspeaker, and you can link additional active loudspeaker systems via the handy THRU socket. A built in mixer provides three input channels, including a switchable instrument-ready input (no DI required), and also features a dedicated 3-band EQ (bass/mid/treble) for simple, yet effective tonal control.
Put the Sound Where You Want It Space limitations often make it impossible to place full-sized monitor wedges where they can do the most good—and passive monitors require lots of external amplifiers and processing gear to function properly. All this adds up to even more gear to move, and if you don’t know what you’re doing, you can easily damage passive monitors by applying too much, or even worse, too little power to them. With the B205D we’ve taken all the guesswork out, giving each loudspeaker its own 150-Watt, Class-D amplifier specifically designed as the perfect mate for the custom-engineered 5.25" neodymium driver.
Say Goodbye to Back-breaking Floor Wedges By using an internal switch-mode power supply, we reduced the weight of the B205D to a mere 7.0 lbs (3.2 kg). This means that instead of bringing in your old passive floor wedges one-at-a-time, you can carry all your monitors in one trip—without even breaking a sweat! They are small enough to mount on mic stands (each speaker includes a special mic stand integration system), on a tabletop, or they can be placed directly atop a piano or electronic keyboard.
Class-D Technology Delivers High Power, Low Weight Instead of operating relatively continuously like Class AB circuits, Class-D amps switch on and off thousands of times per second, delivering power only when needed. In other words, the amplifier is either fully on or fully off, which significantly reduces the power losses in the output devices.
When used in conjunction with switching mode power supplies, our Class-D amplifiers provide tremendous dynamic punch and superior fidelity. The resulting speakers systems are much lighter, making them easy to transport and set up. Our no-compromise design means your B205Ds deliver full power with incredible fidelity all night long, without the need for rest cycles.
Custom-Engineered Drivers Let’s face it; the drivers (otherwise known as speakers) are the only part of a sound system you actually hear. So when it comes to ours, we don’t cut any corners. While some of our competitors outsource theirs, we custom-design and build our speakers from scratch. We wind our own voice coils, process the paper pulp into cones and even machine our own speaker back plates and frames. This enables us to control the quality, keep production costs down and frankly, to make better components. The premium-grade 5.25" neodymium driver was designed specifically and optimized solely for use in the B205D.
Instant PA System With just a single B205D loudspeaker system and a microphone, you can set up an instant, high-quality sound system. Thanks to the built-in preamp section, you just connect a dynamic mic and raise and lower the volume with the LEVEL control. Plug in your sound source (CD or MP3 player), place the speaker on a tabletop or mic stand and power up. It’s just that easy. And if you need more coverage, you can chain together as many as you like via the convenient LINK OUTPUT XLR connector.
Stereo Music System You can even use two B205Ds for stereo playback of your MP3, CD or cassette deck without any additional hardware—pretty cool for playing background music or making announcements. Just plug the appropriate stereo “breakout” adapter (not included) into your deck’s output jack, run one cable to each loudspeaker and set the Level and EQ controls the same on both B205Ds. Voilà, instant party!
Marvelous Monitoring When it comes to live monitoring, it just doesn’t get any more personal than this. With the B205D, you can literally put the sound where you want it—and the sound quality will simply astound you! It is small and light enough to mount on a mic stand (it comes with an integration kit that even works with boom stands), yet powerful enough to be used as a small, high-quality PA system. The built-in 3-channel mixer provides tremendous versatility and even allows additional systems to be linked as slaves.

Finally, Great-Sounding Active Loudspeakers That Won’t Break Your Back or Bank Account! Thanks to our revolutionary Class-D amplifier technology and internal switch-mode power supplies, EUROLIVE D Series loudspeakers provide a much better power-to-weight ratio than competing active speakers. Put simply, you get all the power without the back-breaking weight. And the sound quality of these lightweight loudspeakers exceeds that of our extremely popular EUROLIVE B212A and B215A systems — plus we've included two 200-Watt models, the B210D (10") and B208D (8") for less demanding applications. Due to their high-efficiency design, they crank out 550/200 of the cleanest, punchiest audio Watts you've ever heard from a compact loudspeaker system. The integrated sound processor provides total system control, along with dependable protection of the LF and HF transducers, thanks to the built-in active high-pass filter, which virtually eliminate distortion — even at extreme operating levels. In addition, all four models feature an Ultra-Low Noise (ULN) Mic/Line input with LEVEL control and a dedicated 2-band EQ (bass/treble) for easy control.
Intelligent by Design One of the coolest things about active loudspeakers is the lack of back-breaking racks of amps, crossovers and EQs that are often required to make passive speaker systems sound almost as good. But that comes with a trade-off — that extra weight is transferred to the loudspeaker, making it difficult for a single user to heave all that mass onto the top of a speaker stand. BEHRINGER's D Series' "Intelligent-Design" merges the best features of active loudspeakers with significantly lower weight by using switch-mode power supplies and Class-D amplifier topology. Hidden deep inside each enclosure is the equivalent of an active 2-way electronic crossover, graphic EQ, parametric EQ, mic preamp, limiter and two Class-D power amplifiers, yet overall weight is less than comparable loudspeaker systems! These components work together seamlessly to provide optimum sound quality — and it all takes place automatically, without you having to touch a single knob.
Class D Amplifier Technology Delivers High Power With Low Weight. Instead of operating relatively continuously like Class AB circuits, Class D amps switch on and off thousands of times per second, delivering power only when needed. In other words, the amplifier is either fully on or fully off , which significantly reduces the power losses in the output devices. This is easy in theory and complex in practice, which is why there are so many different Class D designs. Without boring you with terms like PWM Generation and Gate Drivers, let's just say that to realize the benefits of a Class D design requires compensating for a lot of potential problems that can cause audible distortion. BEHRINGER didn't invent Class D technology, but our R&D Department has been working for years to perfect our own version with all the benefits of reduced weight and cool running, and none of the drawbacks. That's why we invested over a solid year of research time eliminating pitfalls like quantizing errors and excess dead time, selecting just the right switching frequency (and other equally tech-y terms). And why we spent an equally long time testing individual components to ensure they will stand up to the rigors of the real world. When combined with switching-mode power supplies that replace heavy toroid transformers, our new designs provide more dynamic punch since the higher switching frequency reloads the supply's capacitors much faster. And, because they are so much more effidcient, the D Series runs cooler and doesn't require huge, heavy heat sinks. The resulting speakers systems are much lighter, making them easy to transport and set up. Our no-compromise design means your D Series active loudspeakers will deliver full power and incredible fidelity all night long, with no need for rest cycles.
Instant PA System With just a single D Series loudspeaker system and a microphone or MP3 player, you can set up an instant sound system. Thanks to the built-in preamp section, you just connect a dynamic mic and raise and lower the volume with the Level control. Plug in your sound source, place the speaker on a tabletop or stand, and power up. It's just that easy. And if you need more coverage, simply use the convenient LINK OUTPUT XLR connector to add more active loudspeakers.
Stereo Music System You can even use two D Series enclosures for stereo playback of your MP3, CD or old-skool cassette deck without any additional hardware. Just plug the appropriate stereo "breakout" adapter into your deck's output jack and run the cables to the 1/4" inputs on each loudspeaker. Set the Level and EQ controls the same on both enclosures. Voilà, instant party!
Marvelous Monitoring Thanks to their trapezoidal design, these cabinets can be laid on their side providing the ideal angle for onstage monitor wedge applications. Hookup is simple, requiring only a single XLR or 1/4" cable from the monitor send on your mixing console and, of course, power. Additional monitors can be chained together via the XLR LINK OUTPUT jack on the rear panel.
Custom-Designed Transducers Let's face it; the transducers (woofers and tweeters) are the only part of a sound system you actually hear, so we don't cut any corners. While some of our competitors are content to buy off-the-shelf transducers and plug them into their boxes, we custom-design and build our transducers from scratch. Not only do we wind our own voice coils, we process the paper pulp into cones and even machine our own backplates. This enables us to control the quality, and frankly, make better components, like the long-excursion LF transducers and state-ofthe- art 1.35" compression drivers we deploy in each and every EUROLIVE enclosure.
Low Frequency Response The EUROLIVE D Series was built with extended low frequency handling in mind. With a tuned port, internally braced, injection molded enclosure, each model's custom designed LF transducer (woofer) really cranks out tight low end. Keep in mind that bass response varies according to LF transducer size, so the larger the speaker, the more bass you will be able to generate.
Accurate Non-Fatiguing Midrange and Treble Even if your particular application doesn't include booming bass, you'll love the sheer accuracy of these loudspeakers. Over a year of design went into a exponential horn/aluminum dome compression driver combination that could do justice to loud hard rock or dance music — yet could also satisfy audiophiles with its musical timbre and attention to detail. For spoken word, singing or acoustical instruments, they are un-matched for being able to articulate complex harmonic details. In fact, many customers think it's the most natural-sounding speaker they've ever heard at anywhere near the price.
Processor Controlled Output Dynamic processing is one of the best ways to maximize output without sacrificing sound quality. The D Series' built-in circuitry automatically adjusts program content, allowing the loudspeaker to operate at extreme levels. It accomplishes this by reducing bass output slightly as you approach the limit of the transducers. This frees up LF amp and transducer resources, so that higher overall volume can be realized. It's like having a tiny soundman inside each cabinet constantly monitoring and changing output parameters. By making subtle changes to the crossover frequency and the audio content, the system is able to crank out more sound — without the slightest hint of distortion.
Massive Power to Size Ratio Cutting-edge technology and high-fidelity speakers are not all it takes to get your message across — you need power, and lots of it. At the heart of each EUROLIVE D Series loudspeaker are two high-current amplifiers with a total output of 550-Watts for the B212D/B215D and 200-Watts for the B210D/B208D. They're capable of driving the speakers to their maximum with no distortion — and without speaker damage, thanks to active internal protection circuits. Put simply, they will astound you with their massive punch, smooth mids and articulate top-end!
Which Speaker Do I Need? As you've probably noticed, we make these active loudspeakers in four different woofer sizes. Which one is right for you? Well, let's start with your application. Is it spoken word in a hotel ballroom? Hard rock in a park? A folk singer or a drum 'n' bass DJ? Loud enough for an 18-year old or loud enough for your grandmother? A huge auditorium or a tiny club? Physics are physics and a 15" low frequency transducer has almost 40% more surface area with which to move air than a 12". A 12" has 30% more area than a 10", and a 10" has 35% more than an 8". So the easiest answer is "Whether to choose one speaker cabinet over another depends on your bass requirements." If you're addressing a small meeting, or demoing the latest "slice-o-chop-o-vegamatic" at the swap meet or county fair, the B208D might be all the speaker you'll need. But if you're providing disco to the masses at a standing room only nightclub — or you just need to crank it up louder, then the B215D may be a better choice. As you can see, "Bass requirements" isn't quite as easy an answer as it sounds. The larger a room's cubic volume, the more energy is required to achieve a given level of bass. In other words, when playing the same tune in a big room versus a small room, big room = less bass; small room = more bass. Confused yet? We suggest that you consult your BEHRINGER dealer for more advice on this subject, which is also a good time to do a listening test —against their competition and against each other. Judge for yourself. And then own BEHRINGER with money to spare.

Active 200-Watt 2-Way PA Speaker System with 10" Woofer and 1.35" Compression Driver
And, because they are so much more efficient, the D Series runs cooler and doesn't require huge, heavy heat sinks.
With a tuned port, internally braced, injection molded enclosure, each model's custom-designed LF transducer (woofer) really cranks out tight low end.

And, because they are so much more efficient, the D Series runs cooler and doesn't require huge, heavy heat sinks.
This enables us to control the quality, and frankly, make better components, like the long-excursion LF transducers and state-of-the-art 1.35" compression drivers we deploy in each and every EUROLIVE enclosure.
Low Frequency Response The EUROLIVE D Series was built with extended low frequency handling in mind. With a tuned port, internally braced, injection molded enclosure, each model's custom-designed LF transducer (woofer) really cranks out tight low end.

BEHRINGER's D Series' "Intelligent-Design" merges the best features of active loudspeakers with significantly lower weight by using switch-mode power supplies and Class-D amplifi er topology.

We suggest that you consult your BEHRINGER dealer for more advice on this subject, which is also a good time to do a listening test —against their competition and against each other. Judge for yourself. And then own BEHRINGER with money to spare.

The Peavey PR 12D is a powered, bi-amplified, two-way speaker system engineered to provide very high levels of performance in a compact powered loudspeaker. The PR 12D is capable of up to 120 dB peak SPL. The enclosure utilizes tough polypropylene in an injection-molded plastic trapezoidal form, with a coated steel grille to offer an attractive yet-durable powered speaker system. This two-way powered system is comprised of a 150 W class D power amplifier driving a 12" heavy duty woofer. The RX14 compression driver is driven by a 50 W class D power amplifier and features a 1.4" titanium diaphragm coupled to an extremely smooth and well-controlled constant directivity horn (with a coverage pattern of 90? by 40?) that is molded integrally into the enclosure. A balanced input to the preamp/EQ electronics consists of one combo female XLR and 1/4" TRS phone jack. It is switchable between mic-level and line-level sensitivity. Two 1/4" phone jacks are provided for link-out / direct-in capability. The link-out is postlevel and pre-crossover. While the direct-in is a direct pre-crossover input. A woofer servo senses back-EMF from the woofer voice coil that is not a result of the drive signal, and subtracts the error so that the woofer cone follows the drive waveform precisely. Constant Loudness (Fletcher-Munson) circuit for accenuating bass and treble at low listening volume levels. The power amplifiers providing the bi-amplification are low-distortion units providing 150 W continuous RMS into the nominal 8 ohm load of the woofer, and a 50 W continuous RMS into the nominal 8 ohm load of the tweeter. They were selected for their reliability and superb musical performance capability. Both amplifiers feature our DDT compression, which virtually eliminates audible power amplifier clipping. A molded-in handle provides ease of transport, while multiple mounting points (top and bottom) for the Peavey versamount allow maximum utility.

BEHRINGER's D Series' "Intelligent-Design" merges the best features of active loudspeakers with significantly lower weight by using switch-mode power supplies and Class-D amplifi er topology.
Class D Amplifier Technology Delivers High Power With Low Weight Instead of operating relatively continuously like Class AB circuits, Class D amps switch on and off thousands of times per second, delivering power only when needed.
And, because they are so much more efficient, the D Series runs cooler and doesn't require huge, heavy heat sinks.

Designed by the same team that produced the best-selling Mackie SRM450v2, the Mackie Thump Series Powered Loudspeakers deliver deep low-end and real power in a lightweight design that is extremely portable. Class-D Fast Recovery™ amplification pushes unmatched power to the high-frequency compression driver and bass-pounding high-output woofer. Plus, Mackie Active processing, including a precision crossover and driver time-alignment provides total optimization for maximum system efficiency. Versatile by design, Thump loudspeakers feature a user-adjustable 3-band EQ for tone control and, since they can be pole-mounted or used as a wedge, the Thump Series loudspeakers represent the best value available for a complete stage solution.
More than Just a Powered Speaker Cabinet Sure, Thump loudspeakers have a built-in power amp—in fact, each have two of them. Our Class-D Fast Recovery low-frequency amp drives the woofer more efficiently with less heat byproduct than other speakers. But so much more goes into a Mackie loudspeaker design than just amplifiers. Mackie Active technology (based on the popular SRMv2 Series) divides the frequencies via a precision 2-way crossover and also time aligns the signals so low-frequency and high-frequency signals arrive in sync to every member of your audience. Active compression provides a first line of defense for the drivers and thermal circuitry protects the amplifiers and power supply should things get too hot. All the onboard electronic systems work together dynamically to produce superior quality sound previously unavailable in this price range.
Portability Meets Versatility For most people, portability is paramount. That’s why Thump loudspeakers are ultra-compact and lightweight, especially the TH-12A which is less than two feet tall and weighs in just over 25lbs. And regardless of application, there’s a right Thump for the job. Both deliver unmatched low end, that’s why they are Thumps. But, if you are a DJ and really need to bump, the TH-15A’s large woofer is the perfect choice. For vocal-only scenarios and applications with acoustic instruments that require superior midrange, the TH-12A shines.
Not only are Thump loudspeakers superb PA enclosures, they also make a superior monitor wedge—just lay the cabinet on its side and turn it up. The compact, lightweight design means zero strain, whether mounting it on a high pole or loading up the van. Ultra-wide frequency response makes them ideal as a keyboard, vocal or even bass guitar monitor. Thump loudspeakers have incredibly smooth response and dispersion over a wide range of frequencies, so you can crank ‘em up and they still sound smooth and never harsh.

Finally, Setting Up for the Gig Just Got a Whole Lot Easier! One of the coolest things about active loudspeakers is the lack of all the backbreaking racks of amps, crossovers and EQs that are often required to make passive systems sound almost as good. But that comes with a trade-off —that extra weight is transferred to the loudspeaker, making it difficult for a single user to heave all that mass onto a speaker stand. By utilizing switch-mode power supplies and Class-D amplifier topology, the new EUROLIVE B312D and B315D loudspeakers provide 28% more output power (550-Watts) and still weigh 10% less than our best-selling B312A/B315A systems.
Sound quality is also improved, thanks to an integrated sound processor, which provides total system control, dependable protection of the transducers (woofer and tweeter) and virtually eliminates distortion—even at extreme operating levels. In addition, both models feature an Ultra-Low Noise (ULN) MIC/LINE input with LEVEL control and a dedicated 2-band EQ (HIGH/LOW) for simple, yet effective tonal control.
What is Class-D Technology? Instead of operating relatively continuously like Class AB circuits, Class-D amps switch on and off thousands of times per second, delivering power only when needed. In other words, the amplifier is either fully on or fully off , which significantly reduces power losses from the output devices given off as heat. Less heat means our amps don’t need massive heat sinks, and that means we can make them lighter. Our no-compromise design means your EUROLIVE D Series loudspeakers will deliver full power with incredible fidelity all night long, without the need for lengthy rest cycles.
When used in conjunction with switching-mode power supplies, which don’t require huge and heavy transformers, our Class-D amplifiers provide tremendous dynamic punch and superior fidelity. The resulting speaker systems are much lighter, making them easy to transport and set up.
Processor-controlled Output Dynamic processing is one of the best ways to maximize output without sacrificing sound quality. The D Series’ built-in circuitry automatically adjusts program content, allowing the loudspeaker to operate at extreme levels. It accomplishes this by reducing bass output slightly as you approach the limit of the transducers. This frees up LF (Low Frequency) amp and transducer resources, so that higher overall volume can be realized. It’s like having a tiny soundman inside each cabinet constantly monitoring and tweaking output parameters.
Instant PA System With just a single D Series loudspeaker and a microphone, you can set up an instant PA system— and you don’t need an external mixer to do so! Thanks to the built-in mic preamp, you can connect any dynamic mic directly to the input and raise and lower the volume with the Level control. Just plug in the mic, place the speaker on a tabletop or standard speaker stand, and power up. It’s that easy. And if you need more coverage, you can use the convenient LINK OUTPUT XLR connector to add more active loudspeakers.
Stereo Music System You can even use a pair of D Series enclosures for stereo playback of your MP3, CD or old-skool cassette deck without any additional hardware. Just plug the appropriate stereo “breakout” adapter into your deck’s output jack and run the cables to the ¼" inputs on each loudspeaker. Set the Level and EQ controls the same on both enclosures. Voilà, instant party!
Monitor Mastery Thanks to their trapezoidal design, D Series loudspeakers can be laid on their side to provide the ideal angle for onstage monitor wedge applications. Their extraordinary fidelity and frequency response make them a favorite of vocalists and instrumentalists alike. Hookup is simple, requiring only a single XLR or ¼" cable from the monitor send on your mixing console and, of course, power. Additional monitors can be chained together via the XLR LINK OUTPUT jack on the rear panel.
Custom-designed Transducers While some of our competitors are content to buy ready-made transducers and plug them into their boxes, we custom-design and build ours from scratch. Not only do we wind our own voice coils, we process the paper pulp into cones and machine every component that goes into them. This enables us to control the quality and make better components, like the long-excursion LF transducers and state-of-the-art 1.75” titanium drivers we deploy in each and every B315D and B312D enclosure.
Low Frequency Response The EUROLIVE D Series was built with extended low frequency handling in mind. With a tuned port, internally braced, injection-molded enclosure, each model’s custom-designed LF transducer really cranks out tight low end. Keep in mind that bass response varies according to LF transducer size, so the larger the speaker, the more bass you will be able to generate.
