Compatible with a variety of media and formats
Compatible with a variety of media and formats so they can be used in any DJing situation. They can play not only discs (CDs or DVDs(1)) but also music files recorded onto USB storage devices —such as flash memory and hard disc drives(2) etc., and SD memory cards(3). Compatible music file formats are music CDs (CD-DA), MP3, AAC, WAV and AIFF. In addition, they can play the music files on a Tonium Pacemaker(4) when it is connected via USB.

Includes rekordbox, the music management software that supports an easy DJ life
Using the included music management software rekordbox allows the user to analyze the music files and manage them in a variety of ways (analyze, settings, create, save history).
Exporting this kind of data to a USB device allows the DJ to assign a set point of a music file to a player in the blink of an eye, so the DJ can focus on their performance.

PRO DJ LINK lets you DJ on USB/SD(3) devices and share data among players
You can export either to a USB storage device or SD memory card3, or as a rekordbox Link export (scheduled to be available via an update in December or so), using a computer with rekordbox installed on it.
Up to 4 multi players can be connected.
A special switching hub is necessary (sold separately) to connect 3 or more multi players or 2 or more players and a PC with rekordbox installed on it.

A new QUANTIZED BEAT LOOP function to increase the accuracy of loop performance
The AUTO BEAT LOOP function(1) of the CDJ-900 will be available with the CDJ-2000 Limited. In addition to the current AUTO BEAT LOOP function, the newly included QUANTIZED BEAT LOOP function(2) automatically syncs with the beat grid, even when the beat is changed in succession and the loop setting is out of sync with the beat grid(3). This makes it possible to perform loops that are in sync with the beat.

• This function can play back loops at a specified number of beats during playback.

The new UTILITY DUPLICATION function allows instantaneous copying of player settings(1)
When multiple players are used, the UTILITY DUPLICATION function can send UTILITY settings, such as display and jog settings, to other players via LAN cable using PRO DJ LINK. This improves the efficiency of player setup.

Support for the output of song BPM information to the DJM-900nexus DJ mixer
Song BPM and beat position information can be sent to the DJM-900nexus DJ mixer (scheduled for release near the end of March) from a CDJ-2000 Limited or CDJ-900 via LAN cable using PRO DJ LINK.(1) (2) When DJ mixer receives accurate BPM information from the player, it will be possible to apply accurate BEAT

Improved usability for the TAG LIST function
TAG LISTS allow temporary registration of songs with a simple button press during playback or song selection. A new function has been added to save them as playlists in the rekordboxTM music management software. This makes it possible to check and edit TAG LISTS not only while DJing, but also on a computer. In addition, the number of songs that can be registered with a TAG LIST has been increased from 60 to 100.

6.1-inch full-color LCD display makes selecting songs quick and easy
A precise 6.1-inch large, full-color LCD is used so a DJ can find the info needed to select a song at a glance. And it is not just textual information—large jacket photos are also displayed. Song selection is quicker and easier than ever before because we have combined an easy-to-understand GUI for viewing the music files with an easy-to-use rotary selector. What’s more, waves can be displayed even more precisely. The high and low amplitude parts of a song can be grasped in more detail than ever.

Needle Search makes quick and intuitive point searches a reality
Equipped with Needle Search, which lets you instantaneously get to the point you want to hear and see how it sounds. All it takes is a touch of your finger on the Needle Search pad while looking at the WAVE display to instantly find the touched point and then you can check the sound. This lets you do a point search with a pinpoint accuracy and speed like never before.

Advanced Big Jog bumps up operability even further
Equipped with 4-point jog illumination. By making the edges of the top and sides of the jog dial easy to spot, we have made the jog dial easier to use, even in the darkness of the DJ booth. And we have increased the tension range of our CDJ-1000MK3’s jog feel adjustment even further, so you can adjust the feel of the jog more widely than before.

A high-end USB sound card with 24 bit/96 kHz sound and 4 IN/4 OUT
Equipped with a USB sound card(1) that can simultaneously input and output stereo sound from 4 input and 4 output terminals. The sound card supports signal processing at a high resolution of 24 bit/96 kHz and can input and output each audio signals without degrading quality. Furthermore, the setting utility tool(2) for PCs makes it possible to change the output signal path from the mixer to accommodate various situations, including DJing, track recording, and other work. Furthermore, smooth transitions between DJs are possible thanks to the USB ports installed on the unit’s top surface.

Various effect functions to achieve a wide range of song arrangements
SOUND COLOR FX adds three new types of effects (SPACE, DUB ECHO, and GATE/COMP) to the conventional FILTER, CRUSH, and NOISE effects. Simply turn the knob to achieve the desired effect. This makes various types of remixes possible, including adding original arrangements to songs. The BEAT EFFECT function also has two new effects (SPIRAL and MELODIC), which opens up a wider spectrum of song arrangements. The mixer is also equipped with an X-PAD for intuitive touch operation. The X-PAD makes it possible to manipulate multiple parameters simultaneously and achieve the desired performance.

High sound quality design precisely reproduces the original sound while thoroughly eliminating noise
Equipped with the same audio input and output circuits as Pioneer’s flagship DJM-2000, achieving accurate reproduction of the original sound. Using the same parts as high-grade audio devices, such as a 32-bit D/A converter that greatly increases sound quality, not only for the master output, but also for headphone and booth output. The 32-bit digital signal processor also controls digital noise. Additionally, the high performance 32 bit digital signal processor suppresses digital noise, and even analog circuit noise is reduced by using high sound quality balanced hybrid operation amps as well as full balanced output circuits.

Newly developed high-performance channel fader
The slide mechanism supports the fader knobs with two metal shafts to enable smooth operability without looseness, while achieving approximately three times longer durability compared to Pioneer’s earlier model (DJM-800). Furthermore, the adoption of newly available faders constrains to a minimum any influence to the faders’ internal parts due to liquid or dust.

The PRO DJ LINK function to enhance DJ performances
Connecting the unit via LAN cable to a PRO DJ LINK-compatible Pioneer DJ player (CDJ-2000,CDJ-900 firmware Ver.4.00 or later(3) or to a PC with rekordboxTM installed, a song’s BPM information and beat location information can be obtained from the DJ player or rekordboxTM.(4) This precise BPM information allows effects to be applied without getting off the beat. Variety of functions to enhance DJ performance

• Equipped with an "integrated input selector” that can simultaneously switch all channel inputs.
• Can output time code disk signal for DVS (Digital Vinyl System) software input from a CDJ player or record player to PC via a single USB cable. DJ play using DVS software can be enjoyed without making complicated connections(6).
• Equipped with a "USB connection indicator” that displays the state of soundcard and PC communications, and a "USB audio input indicator” that displays the audio input from a PC. These indicators enable easy checking of the DJM-900 nexus’ connections.

Features:

• Quantize (new): This function can automatically correct and synch the beat when you are doing a manual loop or a real-time cue in, even if the IN/OUT point is off the beat; that prevents mistakes while playing so you can relax and enjoy your performance. (Only songs that have been analyzed with rekordbox)
• 0.5 Frame Step (new): We have advanced the minimum frame unit from 1 frame (1/75th second) to 0.5 frames. This allows finer tuning of settings like cue points and loop points, making for more accuracy and a greater DJ performance.
• PC Interfaces: Equipped with various interfaces so it works better with your computer. It comes equipped with a MIDI interface, so you can control MIDI compatible computer applications. And it has a sound card, so you can connect directly to and play on your computer. What’s more, it is equipped with a human interface device (HID) that allows precise control of Serato’s Scratch LIVE5 and Native Instrument’s TRAKTOR6 series.
• 4-Beat Loop: If you press the 4-Beat button while playing a song, it aligns to the BPM of the track playing then automatically sets up and plays a 4-beat loop. (only on the CDJ-2000 Limited)
• The industry’s first(7) MIDI (musical instrument digital interface) signal output that changes at beat by beat intervals, and a "MIDI LFO function” that can control external devices (such as effecters).
• Fully assignable MIDI functionality can transmit nearly all of the unit’s knob and button operation information to external devices such as effectors. As simultaneous control of the DJM-900 Nexus and external devices is possible, it can also be used as a MIDI controller.
• Each channel is equipped with a switchable 3 band equalizer and 3 band isolator. The equalizer features adjustability from +6dB to -26dB, and the isolator from +6dB to -∞dB.
• Adoption of the "P-LOCK Fader Cap” locking mechanism on the channel fader and crossfader knobs to prevent them from being knocked loose during use.
• Automatically recognizes the presence of active operation and input signals, and switches to standby mode if the unit is not used or there is no input for the preset amount of time.
