Honesty When it comes to your studio recordings, you want honesty. In fact, considering how important your art is, you should demand it! That’s why we designed the new B1030A Reference Monitors to speak nothing but the TRUTH. Oh, they still sound great hooked up to your stereo or your video surround system, but they were really built with the studio in mind — where every note you play or sing is “under the microscope.”
Built on a Legacy Our TRUTH B2030A and B2031A monitors have been so wildly successful that we’ve sold thousands upon thousands of them to some of the most critical ears on the planet — ears that demand the neutral sound of a true reference monitor. Ask any recording engineer and they will tell you that listening to a recording on just a single set of monitors doesn’t always paint an accurate picture of the mix. Since people listen to music at home, in their cars, on mp3 players, etc., it is critical your final mix be heard on as many sizes and types of speakers as possible. That’s the reason we created these smaller B1030A monitors, plus they make ideal rear channel speakers for surround sound applications.
Years of R’n’D For the past two years our Research and Development team has been on a mission to create the “perfect” studio monitor. Since the TRUTH B2031A had already become the industry standard, our acoustic engineers decided to start there and see just how far they could push the envelope. They tried a variety of transducers and enclosure designs, along with existing and emerging technologies. When all the dust settled, they chose to deploy an ultra-high resolution 1" dome tweeter and a long-throw 5.25" Kevlar-coned woofer in the B1030A.
Why Kevlar? We’re glad you asked. Kevlar has an incredible strength-to-weight ratio — that’s one reason it’s used in bulletproof vests. Kevlar gives our LF transducer the strength to handle the extremely high energy levels required for distortion-free, chest-pounding bass. And since they have such low mass, Kevlar speaker cones also respond much more quickly than those made of paper, important for not only maintaining bass content integrity, but critical for midrange accuracy and definition. Our Kevlar transducers reproduce even the subtlest nuance of the low-frequency realm without muddying the midrange.
Power to the People It takes quite a bit more than just a “bulletproof” woofer and a high-tech tweeter stuck inside a fancy box to make a studio monitor of this class. It also takes power — and lots of it! But even more importantly, that power has to be matched to the individual high- and low-frequency transducers. While some of our competitors are content to stick whatever speakers they have on the shelf into haphazardly designed boxes and then strap on a one-size fits-all amplifier package, we build every single component from the ground up. We pack 75-Watts of bi-amped technology (including a time- and phase-corrected active crossover) into every B1030A, ensuring that you have the enormous power reserves you’ll need to drive them really hard.
Designed to Work in Your Environment The ideal environment for listening is a room that is “flat,” neither too reflective (echoes) nor too absorptive (where the sound is muffled). But since all rooms are not the same acoustically, all TRUTH monitors come equipped to function in a wide variety of situations. Switches are provided to adapt the monitor’s low- and high-frequency characteristics for optimal performance specific to your listening environment.
Placement is also critical. Ideally, all loudspeakers should be placed away from walls to ensure proper bass response. But fear not, B1030A monitors feature Room Compensation switches so you can place them against walls, or even in corners. Walls tend to enhance low frequency content, and corners exaggerate bass even more, but your TRUTH monitor can be custom-tailored to provide honest bass response for your situation, with the simple flick of a switch or two.
Non-fatiguing, Wide “Sweet Spot” While some of our competitors’ studio monitors have a highly focused “sweet spot” (the optimal listening position for a pair of loudspeakers), our wave-guide is designed to create a much more generous, broader listening zone. That means you won’t wear a hole in the carpet in that one spot where everything sounds great. You are free to move around inside the stereo image to find the ideal spot in the mix for subtle instrument or effects placement opportunities.
You also won’t suffer the ravages of “monitor-fatigue-syndrome,” an ailment that comes from listening to harsh high-mids and treble content for hours on end — a pretty important consideration for those all-night mixdown sessions that can really test your nerves.
What’s Up with the RCA Connectors? Yes, it is a bit unconventional to put RCA sockets on a studio monitor — but why not? Now you can connect B1030A loudspeakers to your computer, mp3 player or television receiver for amazing sonic performance. For a truly versatile setup, use one of our USB audio interfaces (the UCA222, for example) to connect to/from your computer. This convenient setup allows you to monitor your recording projects, and mix and master them, directly from your computer. And you can place these speakers right next to your video monitor, thanks to B1030A’s internal magnetic shielding.
Hearing is Believing We could bore you to tears with all the technical jargon (if you really like that stuff , there’s a special treat at the end), but hearing the TRUTH will make you a believer. From the “bulletproof” bass of its Kevlar woofer to the silky top-end of its HF dome tweeter, we think you’ll agree that nothing in this class outperforms the B1030A. Compare them to the competition and own BEHRINGER!

ALL-NEW PROFESSIONAL TRANSDUCERS MRmk2 Series studio monitors feature all-new professional transducers specifically designed to meet the demands of the modern project studio. The neodymium magnet-driven silk dome tweeter is both smooth and accurate, featuring ferro-fluid cooling to help protect against power compression during wide dynamic playback. Meanwhile, the hyperbolic curved cone woofer, inverted dust cap and long voice coil winding work in tandem to deliver smooth, consistent output with controlled low frequency performance. When paired with our precision-tuned amplifiers, MRmk2 monitors provide spot-on input-to-output tuning that you can take to the bank.
PRECISION POWER AMPLIFIERS The dual precision Class A/B amplifiers have been re-voiced to specifically match their new driver components, ensuring that your sound is minimally impacted by distortion, artifacts or changes in frequency response often imparted by working at a variety of volume levels. MRmk2 Series monitors are a 2-way design that offers up to 150 watts of total system power. Delivering more power than anything in their class, MRmk2 studio monitors provide exceedingly smooth output, from ultra-low bass frequencies to precise midrange and sparkling highs.
CUSTOM WAVEGUIDE & BAFFLE An optimally-sized custom waveguide is designed to maximize sonic clarity and dispersion, while also serving to minimize diffractions. This approach allows for seamless transition of HF and LF content along with a 3-dimensional sense of space. MRmk2 monitors also feature a molded baffle to impart superior imaging and depth. Your monitors need to be as accurate as they are great-sounding, and the MRmk2 design philosophy gives you exactly that.
TOP-NOTCH CABINET DESIGN Much more than sleek-looking, MRmk2 cabinets also feature custom-tuned rear ports, allowing for the controlled passage of air in and out. Plus, the cabinet is constructed of solid MDF, so there’s no unwanted distortion from air movement or vibrations. Transducers are never restricted by pressure, and the cabinets resonate low for deep, balanced bass. We know studios can be expensive to set up, which is why everything even down to the cabinet design of MRmk2s is handled with the utmost attention to detail.

High-Resolution, Active 2-Way Reference Studio Monitor
The TRUTH When it comes to your studio recordings, you want honesty. In fact, considering how important your art is, you should demand it! That’s why we designed the B2030A Reference Monitors to speak nothing but the TRUTH. Oh, they still sound great hooked up to your stereo or your video surround system, but they were really built with the studio in mind—where every note you play or sing is "under the microscope."
Built on a Legacy The TRUTH B2030A has all the great features of a standard-sized active TRUTH monitor packed into an even more compact cabinet! Due to their high-resolution performance, B2030A active 2-way reference studio monitors are perfect for nearfield monitoring applications: from small mixing environments to multi-channel surround setups. Our TRUTH B2030A monitors have been so wildly successful that we’ve sold thousands upon thousands of them to some of the most critical ears on the planet.
Don’t Let the Size Fool You Despite its small size, the TRUTH B2030A can achieve a peak output level in excess of 113 dB SPL. Powered by built-in 80- and 35-Watt amplifiers combined with a high-precision active crossover, these monitors provide ultra-linear frequency response from 50 Hz to 21 kHz.
We Call it a Speaker Graduation Diploma After final assembly, each B2030A spends up to a half hour with a Calibration Engineer being meticulously tweaked to ensure ultra-linear frequency response.
When you buy a TRUTH B2030A monitor, you’re truly getting a hand-calibrated unit. We ship a calibration certificate with each B2030A that shows the actual frequency response of your monitor, as tested at the time of manufacture.
After all these rigorous tests, only then is the speaker granted its own Graduation Diploma.
Rock-Solid Bass Bookshelf-style home stereo speakers can really fool you when it comes to bass output, mainly because they are not designed for critical listening applications. That’s why recording engineers and producers listen to projects through studio reference monitors or studio-grade headphones. The B2030A’s long-throw 6.75" polypropylene-diaphragm woofer delivers smooth, deep bass all the way down to 50 Hz. Bass content that isn’t exaggerated, as it can be in home speaker systems. Rock-solid bass that is an honest representation of the recorded sound, full of subtle nuance; the sound of fingers on the strings, or the rush of air through the long pipes of a cathedral organ, etc.
Why the Polypropylene Woofer? We’re glad you asked. Polypropylene is light and strong, enabling the speaker cone to respond very quickly to fast transient peaks. This low-mass cone material is also much stiffer than paper, important for not only maintaining bass content integrity, but critical for midrange accuracy and definition. The deformation-resistant aluminum die-cast chassis maintains suspension integrity and provides highly efficient voice-coil cooling, even under extreme operating conditions.
Non-Fatiguing, Wide “Sweet Spot” B2030A’s HF (High Frequency) content comes courtesy of an ultra high-resolution 0.75" ferrofluid-cooled tweeter mounted on our proprietary wave-guide. While some of our competitor’s studio monitors have a highly focused “sweet spot” (the optimal listening position for a pair of loudspeakers), our wave-guide is designed to create a much more generous, broader listening zone. That means you won’t wear a hole in the carpet in that one spot where everything sounds great. You are free to move around inside the stereo image to find the ideal spot in the mix for subtle instrument or effects placement opportunities.
You also won’t suffer the ravages of “monitor fatigue-syndrome,” an ailment that comes from listening to harsh high-mids and treble content for hours on end, even during those all-night mix-down sessions that can really test your nerves.
Expect the Best We packed 115-Watts of bi-amped technology (including a time- and phase-optimized active crossover) into every B2030A, ensuring that you have the enormous power reserves you’ll need to drive them really hard. The unique BEHRINGER wave-guide and the extremely low-distortion crossover network produce an absolutely linear frequency response with excellent sound dispersion and stereo imaging.
Suited for All Placements Ideally, all loudspeakers should be placed away from walls to ensure proper bass response. But fear not, B2030A monitors feature Room Compensation switches so you can place them against walls, or even in corners. Walls tend to enhance low-frequency content, and corners exaggerate bass even more, but your TRUTH monitor can be custom-tailored to provide honest bass response for your situation, with the simple flick of a switch or two.
XLR and 1/4" Inputs The B2030A is equipped with servo-balanced inputs on XLR and ¼” TRS connectors to handle a variety of audio sources. Thanks to its compact size and magnetic shielding, the TRUTH B2030A can be placed near video monitors, computer displays or digital audio workstations.
Hearing is Believing We could bore you to tears with all the technical jargon (if you like that stuff, you’re sure to enjoy the product spec sheet at the back of the manual), but hearing the TRUTH will make you a believer. We think you’ll agree that nothing in this class outperforms the B2030A monitors. Compare them to any competition and hear the TRUTH!

The original Tannoy Reveal Active near field monitor hasbecome an iconic fixture in recording studios across the world since itsarrival in the mid-nineties, widely recognised as the product that defined thecategory and has been the active monitor of choice for thousands of amateur andprofessional recording, creative composition and postproduction facilitiesworldwide. Building upon this world-class reputation, the all new Tannoy RevealActive series represents the latest evolution of Tannoy’s high resolution activereference monitor technology.
Whether you’re building a studio on a budget and don’twant to compromise on sonic quality, or you need an active monitor with a smallfootprint, the Reveal 501a offers the perfect solution. Built to the samesuperior standard as the rest of the new Reveal range, the Reveal 501a packsperformance, accuracy and value into a compact enclosure. Priced competitivelywith the entry-level recording setup in mind, the all new Reveal501a delivers awide bandwidth performance that will impress even the most seasoned pro.
Ahead of the Curve The sculpted curved edges of the new Reveal’s front baffle help to eliminate unwanted diffraction caused when sound dispersed from the sides of the cabinet is scattered back into the near field causing interference and phase distortion. By carefully smoothing off these edges, this unwanted diffraction is significantly reduced, delivering critical improvements to frequency response and crystal clear imaging, even when off-axis.
Optimised Tweeter Design In the pursuit of achieving a wide and even nearfield monitoring ‘sweet spot’, delivering accurate and highly controlled high frequencies is critical. The new Reveals feature a brand new tweeter design comprising of soft dome HF driver coupled to an elliptical waveguide that has been optimised to provide very controlled high frequency directivity and minimise diffraction, providing a wide and consistent listening field.
Forward Thinking Most studio monitors feature bass ports on the rear of their cabinet. This type of design leads to an inherent problem called bass-coupling whereby low frequencies are amplified when the monitors are located close to room boundaries, leading to coloured and inaccurate mix results. The new Reveals feature front-firing reflex bass ports however, to allow for ideal positioning even within small or confined studio spaces, while still providing defined bass performance.
With the benefit of being active (self-powered), the Reveal501a’s
perfectly matched integrated amplifier ensures maximum efficiency from
the 5” woofer and 1” soft dome tweeter and removes any need for a
separate power amp. Response has been optimised for quarter space near
field operation, such as on a meter bridge or on a table either side of
your control surface, while independent gain control is provided on the
rear panel, along with HF trim control, to allow fine tuning.
The low distortion 5” LF/MF driver voicing has been enhanced to deliver a
natural and accurate ultra-linear response in the low and midrange
frequencies, while the wide bandwidth tweeter extends the amplitude
response beyond the 20kHz audibility threshold to 30kHz to improve the
phase response within the audible band. This preserves the harmonic
structure of sounds and the stability of the stereo image, ensuring
stunningly accurate mix translation.
The rigid MDF cabinet construction provides stiffness and minimises
colouration, while internal bracing of the sides and rear against the
back of the bass driver provides a rigid reactive mass for the moving
cone assembly; this ensures fast tight bass response and clear midrange.
The curved edged design of the front baffle helps eliminate
diffraction, while the front-firing bass port avoids the problem of
exaggerated bass response as a result of boundary-coupling – a pitfall
inherent with rear-firing designs when positioned close to a wall. The
new elliptical tweeter waveguide has also been optimised to control high
frequency directivity and minimise diffraction, ensuring a wide and
even sweet spot.
Both balanced XLR and unbalanced TRS jack inputs complete the versatile
package, ensuring the Tannoy Reveal501a is easily integrated into any
home or project studio with the minimum of fuss.

When you’re ready to make the switch to pro studio monitors, there are many things you need to consider. For instance, it’s up to you to create a mix that works on a variety of speakers—one that translates to boomboxes, home and car stereos, even headphones and portable music players. So you need monitors that deliver a neutral starting point, and sound that is clear across the frequency spectrum. You also want monitors with consistent performance, so whether you’re on axis or off, cranking ’em up or turning ’em down low, what you’re hearing is accurate. And you want all this at a reasonable price.
Mackie MR8 and MR5 Studio Monitors deliver truly professional quality and everything you need for critical monitoring—at a price that’s unbelievably affordable. Wide, even dispersion means a broad sweet spot, minimizing funny dips or peaks in frequency response when you move off axis. You get superior bass extension—tight and free from distortion—so your lows pack just the right amount of punch. And to ensure the best sound possible for your setup, the MR Series monitors feature acoustic controls so you can tune them to fit your room. With their Active bi-amplified architecture, wide dispersion, ultra-flat frequency response and outstanding bass performance, you get superior imaging with impeccable clarity, for a truly inspirational, non-fatiguing monitoring experience.
Our MR Series monitors achieve their transparent sound quality thanks to these key design elements:
Minimum-Diffraction Molded Baffle: When it comes to baffle design, shape matters; it plays a role in how sound waves travel. Our baffle is precisely molded to minimize diffraction, so sound waves radiate smoothly, and are dispersed optimally. Our precision waveguide is designed to ensure broad, even dispersion, and a smooth transition between highs and lows. The result is a crystal clear image of your mix, with an ultra-wide, even sweet spot. Whether you’re in mix position or not, on axis or off, you’ll always hear an accurate representation of your mix.
Amplifier Design: Amplifiers are the power behind a monitor’s sound, but they can also color it. Unlike with passive monitors, our amplifiers are precisely matched to the monitor design. Featuring our proven Class A/B architecture, the MR Monitors’ amplifiers are meticulously tuned to deliver ultra-flat frequency response, so the sound remains neutral. To compensate for room characteristics, acoustic controls allow you to adjust High Frequency and Low Frequency settings (+/-2dB). Balanced inputs allow you to get the best signal possible, but the option of unbalanced inputs mean you can connect easily to any source. And MR Monitors deliver enough power to handle the toughest source material, at sound levels beyond sane people’s requirements.

The YSM2P-II powered speaker enclosure system is an advanced studio monitor. It is equally at home in a professional recording studio, project studio, or even a living room. Development of the renowned YSM1P has helped us provide the YSM2P-II with functionality and user-friendliness at a truly reasonable cost. Components include a 1-inch domed tweeter and a 5 1/4-inch woofer. The woofer is a low-resonance 4-ohm driver fabricated with a woven laminate cone (which helps promote use of the full 32 watts of power from the YSM2P’s internal LF amplifier). The HF side of amplifier is capable of delivering up to 14 watts to the 1-inch, high-performance tweeter. Optimal performance is also achieved by use of an active crossover specifically developed for the YSM2P. The YSM2P-II also features an input trim control for precision tweaking according to room acoustics.
A smooth frequency response gives the YSM2P-II ample source representation without equalization. A precisely tuned active crossover enables each driver to take advantage of the bi-amplification. ¼-inch or XLR input jacks allow for maximum versatility.
The input, located at the rear of the enclosure, accepts line-level signal only (not speaker level). It is ideal to use balanced, shielded cables with a ¼-inch (TRS) or XLR connector however unbalanced 1/4-inch jacks can also be used. Each YSM2P-II should be connected to a single line-level source (e.g., the Right or Left line output from a mixer or preamp). If you want to use multiple YSM2Ps, they can be interconnected using "Y" adaptors.
The Input Trim control allows you to adjust the volume of each monitor until the desired sound level and Left/Right (or Front/Rear) balance is achieved. If clipping distortion becomes audible, reduce the Input Trim level. If more signal reduction is needed, lower your line level from the source with the mixer’s master level controls.
Shielded drivers ensure the YSM2P-II’s can be located close to computer and video monitors or hard drive recording systems.
The YSM2P-II uses a bi-amplification system with separate power amps for the tweeter and the woofer The YSM2P-II utilizes an electronically active crossover network tuned specifically for each driver. This type of crossover network divides the signal much more precisely than traditional passive crossover networks.

High-Resolution, Active 2-Way Reference Studio Monitor
The TRUTH When it comes to your studio recordings, you want honesty. In fact, considering how important your art is, you should demand it! That’s why we designed the B2031A Reference Monitors to speak nothing but the TRUTH. Oh, they still sound great hooked up to your stereo or your video surround system, but they were really built with the studio in mind—where every note you play or sing is "under the microscope."
Built on a Legacy Our TRUTH B2031A monitors have been so wildly successful that we’ve sold thousands upon thousands of them to some of the most critical ears on the planet. Due to their high-resolution performance, B2031A active 2-way reference studio monitors are perfect for nearfield monitoring applications: from small mixing environments to multi-channel surround setups.
Ultra-Linear Frequency Response The TRUTH B2031A is a serious contender capable of achieving output levels in excess of 116 dB SPL. Powered by separate 80- and 25-Watt built-in amplifiers with an active crossover, these monitors provide ultra-linear frequency response from 50 Hz to 21 kHz.
We Call it a Speaker Graduation Diploma After final assembly, each B2031A spends up to a half hour with a Calibration Engineer being meticulously tweaked to ensure ultra-linear frequency response.
When you buy a TRUTH B2031A monitor, you’re truly getting a hand-calibrated unit. We ship a calibration certificate with each B2031A that shows the actual frequency response of your monitor, as tested at the time of manufacture.
The B2031A’s long-throw 8.75" polypropylene-diaphragm woofer delivers smooth, deep bass all the way down to 50 Hz.
Non-Fatiguing, Wide “Sweet Spot” B2031A’s HF (High Frequency) content comes courtesy of an ultra high-resolution 1.0" ferrofluid-cooled tweeter mounted on our proprietary wave-guide.
Expect the Best We pack 105-Watts of bi-amped technology (including a time- and phase-optimized active crossover) into every B2031A, ensuring that you have the enormous power reserves you’ll need to drive them really hard. The unique BEHRINGER wave-guide and the extremely low-distortion crossover network produce an absolutely linear frequency response with excellent sound dispersion and stereo imaging.
Suited for All Placements The ideal environment for listening is a room that is “flat,” neither too reflective (echoes) nor too absorptive (where the sound is muffled).
But fear not, B2031A monitors feature Room Compensation switches so you can place them against walls, or even in corners. Walls tend to enhance low-frequency content, and corners exaggerate bass even more, but your TRUTH monitor can be custom-tailored to provide honest bass response for your situation, with the simple flick of a switch or two.
Please Standby Since placement of studio monitors can significantly affect their performance, often they are placed in a manner that makes it inconvenient to get to the power switch on the rear panel. Not to worry, the B2031A provides a simple solution to breaking out the stepladder or climbing onto your desk. The B2031A features an AUTO power switch that, when activated, powers up the system as soon as it detects an input signal. If no signal is detected, the system automatically switches into standby mode after five minutes of silence.
XLR and 1/4" Inputs The B2031A is equipped with servo-balanced inputs on XLR and ¼” TRS connectors to handle a variety of audio sources. Thanks to its compact size and magnetic shielding, the TRUTH B2031A can be placed near video monitors, computer displays or digital audio workstations.
Hearing is Believing We could bore you to tears with all the technical jargon (if you like that stuff, you’re sure to enjoy the product spec sheet at the back of the manual), but hearing the TRUTH will make you a believer. We think you’ll agree that nothing in this class outperforms the B2031A monitors. Compare them to any competition and hear the TRUTH!

2-Way Active Ribbon Studio Reference Monitor with Kevlar Woofer
Honesty When it comes to your studio recordings, you want honesty. In fact, considering how important your art is, you should demand it! That’s why we designed the new B3030A and B3031A Reference Monitors to speak nothing but the TRUTH. Oh, they still sound great hooked up to your stereo or your video surround system, but they were really built with the studio in mind — where every note you play or sing is "under the microscope."
Built on a Legacy Our TRUTH B2030A and B2031A monitors have been so wildly successful that we’ve sold thousands upon thousands of them to some of the most critical ears on the planet. So, from the moment we started this project, we knew these new speakers would have to be something really special, and indeed they are!
When all the dust settled, they chose to deploy an ultra-high resolution, 2" velocity ribbon transducer and a long-throw, Kevlar-coned woofer in a deformationresistant, die-cast aluminum chassis.
Why Kevlar? We’re glad you asked. Kevlar has an incredible strength-to-weight ratio — that’s one reason it’s used in bulletproof vests. Kevlar gives our LF transducer the strength to handle the extremely high energy levels required for distortion-free, chest-pounding bass. And since they have such low mass, Kevlar speaker cones also respond much more quickly than those made of paper, important for not only maintaining bass content integrity, but critical for midrange accuracy and defi nition. Our Kevlar transducers reproduce even the subtlest nuance of the low-frequency realm without muddying the midrange.
What’s With the Funny-Looking Tweeter? Ribbon tweeters bring a level of accuracy and sophistication to high-resolution studio monitors that was previously unattainable. They provide exceptionally wide horizontal dispersion (for a larger “sweet-spot”), while holding the vertical dispersion extremely tight. And since our ribbon transducer diaphragm is virtually weightless, it reacts instantaneously to changes in the high-frequency content. Now, not only do you hear the dulcet tones of a flute, you hear the breath flowing through it... You hear the wind chimes bouncing off each other... You can hear the fingernails on the nylon strings of a classical guitar…
Another reason why ribbon tweeters are so supremely accurate is their ability to reproduce frequencies far above our normal hearing range. Even though we can’t hear these “ultrasonics,” the lower harmonics they generate do aff ect the way we experience the stereo image. For instance, a 30 kHz signal is too high for us to hear, but we can hear its first sub-harmonic (15 kHz), second sub-harmonic (7.5 kHz), and third (3.75 kHz), etc. All these sub-harmonics combine with the primary sound to create stunning realism. Power to the People It takes quite a bit more than just a “bulletproof” woofer and a high-tech ribbon tweeter stuck inside a fancy box to make a studio monitor of this class. It also takes power — and lots of it! But even more importantly, that power has to be matched to the individual high and low-frequency tranducers. While some of our competitors are content to stick whatever speakers they have on the shelf into haphazardly designed boxes and then strap on a one-size-fits-all amplifi er package, we build every single component from the ground up.
We pack 225-Watts of bi-amped technology (including a time- and phase-corrected active crossover) into every B3031A (110-Watts for B3030A), ensuring that you have the enormous power reserves you’ll need to drive them really hard.

The original Tannoy Reveal Active near field monitor has become an iconic fixture in recording studios across the world since its arrival in the mid-nineties, widely recognised as the product that defined the category and has been the active monitor of choice for thousands of amateur and professional recording, creative composition and postproduction facilities worldwide. Building upon this world-class reputation, the all new Tannoy Reveal Active series represents the latest evolution of Tannoy’s high resolution active reference monitor technology.
Whether you’re looking to equip your studio with an industry standard reference monitor without the excessive price tag, or you need an active monitor with a small footprint, the Reveal 601a offers the perfect solution. Built to the same superior standard as the rest of the new Reveal range, the Reveal 601a packs performance, accuracy and value into a compact enclosure. Priced competitively with the serious home or project studio setup in mind, the all new Reveal601a delivers a wide bandwidth performance that will impress even the most seasoned pro.
With the benefit of being active (self-powered), the Reveal601a’s perfectly matched integrated amplifier ensures maximum efficiency from the 6.5” woofer and 1” soft dome tweeter and removes any need for a separate power amp. Response has been optimised for quarter space near field operation, such as on a meter bridge or on a table either side of your control surface, while independent gain control is provided on the rear panel, along with HF trim control, to allow fine tuning.
The low distortion 6.5” LF/MF driver voicing has been enhanced to deliver a natural and accurate ultra-linear response in the low and midrange frequencies, while the wide bandwidth tweeter extends the amplitude response beyond the 20kHz audibility threshold to 30kHz to improve the phase response within the audible band. This preserves the harmonic structure of sounds and the stability of the stereo image, ensuring stunningly accurate mix translation.
The rigid MDF cabinet construction provides stiffness and minimises colouration, while internal bracing of the sides and rear against the back of the bass driver provides a rigid reactive mass for the moving cone assembly; this ensures fast tight bass response and clear midrange. The curved edged design of the front baffle helps eliminate diffraction, while the front-firing bass port avoids the problem of exaggerated bass response as a result of boundary-coupling – a pitfall inherent with rear-firing designs when positioned close to a wall. The new elliptical tweeter waveguide has also been optimised to control high frequency directivity and minimise diffraction, ensuring a wide and even sweet spot.
Both balanced XLR and unbalanced TRS jack inputs complete the versatile package, ensuring the Tannoy Reveal601a is easily integrated into any home or project studio with the minimum of fuss.

What’s With the Funny-Looking Tweeter? Ribbon tweeters bring a level of accuracy and sophistication to high-resolution studio monitors that was previously unattainable. They provide exceptionally wide horizontal dispersion (for a larger “sweet spot”), while holding the vertical dispersion extremely tight.
Even though we can’t hear these “ultrasonics,” the lower harmonics they generate do affect the way we experience the stereo image.
While some of our competitors are content to stick whatever speakers they have on the shelf into haphazardly designed boxes and then strap on a one-size-fits-all amplifier package, we build every single component from the ground up.
We pack 225-Watts of bi-amped technology (including a time- and phase-corrected active crossover) into every B3031A (110-Watts for B3030A), ensuring that you have the enormous power reserves you’ll need to drive them really hard.
Non-fatiguing, Wide “Sweet Spot” While some of our competitor’s studio monitors have a highly focused “sweet spot” (the optimal listening position for a pair of loudspeakers), our wave-guide is designed to create a much more generous, broader listening zone. That means you won’t wear a hole in the carpet in that one spot where everything sounds great.
You are free to move around inside the stereo image to find the ideal spot in the mix for subtle instrument or effects placement opportunities. You also won’t suffer the ravages of “monitor fatigue-syndrome,” an ailment that comes from listening to harsh high mids and treble content for hours on end. The new 2" velocity ribbon transducer, along with our proprietary wave-guide design, generates silky-smooth high-end that is non-fatiguing, even during those all-night mix-down sessions that can test your nerves.
Hearing is Believing We could bore you to tears with all the technical jargon (if you really like that stuff, there’s a special treat at the end), but hearing the TRUTH will make you a believer. From the “bulletproof” bass of its Kevlar woofer to the silky top-end of its ribbon transducer, we think you’ll agree that nothing in this class outperforms the B3030A and B3031A monitors. Compare them to the competition and own BEHRINGER!

Deluxe edition The Studiophile BX5a Deluxe monitors update the best-selling M-Audio BX5a system with a variety of enhancements. The updated waveguide delivers excellent imaging. A new low-frequency transducer provides well-defined bass. Custom amplifier tuning enhances the integration between the high and low frequencies, delivering refined spectral balance and a smoother response. An elegant new industrial design completes the package.
Kevlar drivers M-Audio’s Studiophile BX5a Deluxe monitors employ Kevlar for low-frequency driver construction. Kevlar’s high mechanical and thermal resilience makes it ideal for use in speaker cones. Our engineers also created a curved conical design that improves room dispersion. High-damping reliable rubber surrounds provide percussive musical bass, and also insure that the cone reaches its optimal excursion for accurate reproduction.
Silk-dome, waveguide-loaded, high-frequency drivers Our high-frequency domes are made from natural silk to counter the high Q ringing that’s inherent in the poorly crafted metallic materials commonly found in other monitors. In addition, our new waveguides refine the high-frequency response. M-Audio’s FerroFlow technology uses ferrofluid liquid cooling to dissipate heat for maximum efficiency and extended usage.
Bi-amplified efficiency Active monitors have a distinct advantage over unpowered monitors because the built-in power amps are designed to work with the drivers and crossovers in a tuned system. Bi-amplification further refines the concept by dedicating separate power amps to the highs and lows. Combined with a finely tuned crossover, this design insures that both the high- and low-frequency drivers are asked to deliver only the frequencies they are most efficient at reproducing.
Rear-ported cabinet design The BX5a Deluxe monitor’s cabinet is integrally designed with its other components for optimal performance—right down to rounded corners for reduced edge diffraction and superior imaging. Custom rear-port design audibly reduces the turbulence and resulting distortion caused by poorly designed ports. Magnetically shielded for desktop use Unchecked, the electromagnetic waves emanating from your speakers can wreak havoc with your computer’s video monitor or a nearby TV. The Studiophile BX5a Deluxe monitors are magnetically shielded so all of your electronic equipment can coexist on your desktop without interference.

The BM 5A Compact is an extremely small yet very powerful speaker for post and broadcast production. Dynaudio Acoustics have gone to great length to ensure massive power and superior sound quality in combination with serious space restrictions, and novel research have made it possible to fit loads of power and quality into a very minute cabinet, defeating what was previously deemed impossible.
That effort now gives audio professionals an extremely compact nearfield monitor with uncompromising acoustic qualities, and fills an important gap in the broadcast and post production industry, where space often is the determining factor for installations. The BM 5A Compact is a great solution for the space problems that remote broadcast trucks/OB Vans and tight editing bays have to deal with.
BM 5A Compact is an active two-way nearfield monitor that provides a solution for uncompromising quality in very small spaces. The renowned Dynaudio Acoustics sound has been preserved and fine tuned, and this monitor perfectly embodies and strengthens the celebrated craftsmanship and innovation of the BM series.
Through considerable research and development, Dynaudio Acoustics has managed to equip the petite cabinet of the BM 5A Compact with woofers and tweeters of the same high-quality as in the BM 5A active monitor, which is two times the size of the BM 5A Compact. Two 50-watts amps, operating within a frequency response of 55 Hz - 21 kHz, has been fitted into a cabinet that is as small as (w x h x d) 170 x 260 x 235 mm / 6.7” x 10.2” x 9.3”.

Up until the mid ’90s, there was no such thing as an affordable professional studio monitor. Even as more people began recording in homes and project studios, great sounding studio monitors remained cost-prohibitive. Home and project recordists resorted to using hi-fi speakers—some even cobbled together their own monitors using parts from consumer speakers and the local electronics store—with less than stellar results. We didn’t think this was fair—why should great sound be reserved for only those with a fat wallet?
We decided it was time to level the playback field. Our audio gurus got to work, combining their hard-won expertise to design a monitor that would at last make great sound accessible to the masses. After many long days—and late nights—the HR824 Active studio reference monitor was born. With its signature Active architecture and passive radiator design, the HR824 monitor delivered performance that impressed studio veterans and hobbyists alike—and was in reach of all their budgets. Soon HR824s were perched atop speaker stands in professional control rooms, project studios and bedroom studios all over the world. Following the success of the HR824, we developed the HR624, a compact version of our world-renowned original. Like its “big brother,” the HR624 earned a large and loyal following, and it, too, populated a wide range of studios. With their impeccable sound, enviable reputation and affordability, our HR Series changed what people expected of studio monitors, and challenged how our competitors designed theirs. Simply put, the HR Series became the new industry standard.
Since the release of the original HR Series in 1996, audio recording—and the studio environment—has changed by leaps and bounds. The greater bit depth and higher sampling rates afforded by digital audio mean recordings are more accurate than ever. Recording technology along every step of the signal chain has advanced, too, from microphones to DAWs, allowing for mixes with massive numbers of precisely captured tracks and huge amounts of processing. With these changes have come new challenges for—and expectations from—a studio monitor.
Today’s studio demands a monitor that can reproduce sound as precisely as it is recorded. The same innovation that launched our pioneering HR Series has led to the birth of just such a monitor—as well as a new studio standard. Meet the HRmk2.

The S-DJ05 Active Reference Monitoring Speakers are designed for DJing and music production. These speakers feature excellent sound quality, audio parameter control, built-in linear equalization and four switchable inputs, useful for DJs and producers who need to achieve the highest accuracy in musical reproduction. In addition, the S-DJ05 speakers offer users the ability to change settings such as sound characteristics and audio inputs via a unique manual controller.
Audio Quality The compact speakers achieve a larger than normal listening area due to the use of a curved waveguide enclosure that directs the soft-dome tweeter’s sound in a wider pattern for better imaging and staging. This means more listeners across a larger area of a room can hear the higher frequencies than with traditional designs. Additionally, the Bass Reflex enclosure extends the lower frequency range to provide more mid-bass and bass output. In order to reproduce the highest quality audio possible, the speakers are also equipped with strong high-force magnets for better control of the subwoofers, a low resonance chimney-style heat sink and a bi-amp circuit that drives the tweeter and woofer separately.
Whether the speakers are utilized for DJing or producing music, the built-in linear equalizer provides further fine-tuning of sound for all listeners’ tastes. The linear equalizer allows users to adjust the low and high bands from -6 dB to +6dB helping to enhance the tonal quality of instruments while producing music or recreate the low frequency sound of a club while DJing for a more realistic experience, important for critical listeners.
Control Unique to Pioneer’s DJ speakers, the included control accessory allows users to simultaneously operate the volume, power and four switchable input channels of both speakers. The dial style control knob also engages the equalizer and muting of both speakers.
Inputs and Extras The S-DJ05 speakers feature four types of inputs (XLR, TRS and two sets of RCA) that let users connect various devices simultaneously, such as a computer, DJ equipment, portable device, etc. The various inputs eliminate the need to change cable connections so the speakers can be utilized with a broad variety of sources.
The speakers also feature an environmentally-friendly Auto Standby feature that automatically detects input signals and switches the standby mode when input is not detected within 60 minutes. For additional functionality, bottom screw holes were implemented for use with commercially available stands.

The BM 9S subwoofer is intended to operate with the BM series monitors, more specifically, the BM 5A monitor. It is extremely well-suited for that extra punch to the bottom in setups where space is limited. The BM 9S delivers a clear, crispy and surprisingly powerful punch when you take its almost diminutive size into account. The BM 9S will complement stereo and multichannel monitoring equally well and when daisy-chaining of subwoofers is needed, it sports a low level LFE input/output.
For significant control and enhancement of the general performance, the BM 9S is a closed cabinet type. This creates an internal pressure by which the woofer gains a considerable amount of precision when it comes to the reproduction of low frequent signals. This precision is easily audible and it augments the feeling of reality that the listener experiences.
The BM 9S is very suitable for the following production environments:
Post Production
Music Recording and Mixing
Film Editing (smaller rooms)
DVD authoring and Mastering
Multichannel Production (Audio or Audio for pictures)
Broadcast
Edit suites
OB vans
The BM 9S is designed according to the strict BM series specifications. With a 10” woofer and 200 Watts of power, and virtually minute dimensions, this sub is tailor-made to take care of even the most comprehensive challenges where space is scarce. Being every bit as versatile as the rest of the BM series, BM 9S is a very competent partner for smaller stereo and multichannel setups, giving a very powerful system for even the most demanding users across the globe.
The Auto On/Off function, provides a minimized idle energy usage by shutting off after minutes of no input signal. The auto sensing circuit enables BM9S to automatically come to life when input signal is detected.
The satellite filters that this sub sports, provides high-pass filtering of the monitor source signal allowing 60Hz or 80Hz corner frequencies. This is a huge advantage for the monitor performance, as the satellites do not need to deal with power consuming lower frequencies. This leaves all the satellite power to greatly accelerate performance and precision.
